Went in for a quick pint in this establishment, what can I say, just didn't feel right and don't order a glass of wine with ice, they put the ice in the glass first then fill it up to the appropriate line, somehow I don't think that's the right way to do it. The light was on but no one...

We stayed at the Bootham Tavern over the Easter break with friends, what a lovely welcoming place. The rooms are done to a high standard and is very clean. Very comfortable pillows and beds. The tavern itself is a locals bar and was always busy but a lovely place. Full marks to all staff. The b,fast was served quickly and...

When I originally booked this I wasn't really sure of what to expect as I've never stayed above a pub before. If I'm being honest I don't think I was expecting much at all. I'm glad I didn't as I was very happily surprised on how much I enjoyed my stay here!!! The décor is really cute and quirky and...

This is one of the best pubs we have visited in a long time, let alone in York. Nikki the bar maid goes out of her way to look after the customers. Highly recommend this pub, it's a gem nestled away in the great town of York.

Horrendous, unprofessional staff, poor quality ale and obnoxious regulars. Typical sky sports, lager lout pub. The pub actually has decent decor as I believe it has recently been done up, but it's potential is wasted as it is frequented by cave men and run like a Butlins. With a few slightly younger punters in the mix, along with a decent...

Firstly I think the reviews for this place, pre refurb, should be deleted off. From the moment we got here Lisa and her staff made us feel welcome. The pub has quite clearly had a stunning refurb and a hell of a lot of money spent on it. The room was on par with a high end hotel. Bed very...

Great place, inexpensive great drinks. Great banter with the staff. The landlady is a Chelsea fan.......someone has to be lol....so good banter as we are Leicester fans and we happened to be playing them that weekend and lost!! But I got into a debate about King Richard so enuff said. Thanks guys see you in March x 😁😁

Only called in for a couple of pints, ended up as a real session. Great friendly pub, had a good sing a long with a pianist and guitarist. All the staff and customers very welcoming. The pianist moves his piano from pub to pub, we gave him a lift through the door but drew the line pushing it home to...
