The minster hotel is very close to everything in York you are able to walk everywhere. The room itself had all of the basic facilities extremely clean. Service was great and had parking available for guests. Breakfast was good and the service excellent. We would definately stay there again.

We used this hotel on a visit to York Races. It's (just about) walkable from the station and an easy walk to York Minster, The Shambles etc. It's clean and comfortable, rather than glamorous or luxurious. Furnishings are rather basic. Rooms at the back are quiet (I should imagine those at the front on the main Tadcaster road are less...

We try and get here at least twice a year it's a great hotel in a excellent location just a 5 minute walk to the cathedral. The hotel has parking so no parking fees. The staff are so friendly especially Stuart who always has a friendly greeting at breakfast, which is lovely food. Great place to stay well worth a...

We stay here every year for the races and Xmas market and always receive the most friendly and warm welcome. With free parking and 3 mins to the minster location is excellent. We had an issue with noisy neighbours and this was dealt with very swiftly by the hotel - fantastic service from Gemma on reception. The breakfast is locally...

Son booked it last minute deal. Stated we had mobility issues and was called back in minutes. Supposed room 34 was only one left. Was offered help with luggage but young lady who took us did not offer again, plus did not take us up to room, just pointed out about leaving card in slot for electric. Room when we...

Business commitments have brought me to York every week for the last few months so I have experienced quite a few of the hotels up and down the A19 into the city centre, and for me this is the best - the reasons are simple: it's not modern but has a real York feel to it; it's in a really...

This hotel is in an ideal location...just a short walk to the Cathedral and York City Centre. Having stayed there, I would recommend to anyone visiting York and will certainly return myself. Pleasant rooms, excellent breakfast, and all the staff were extremely warm and friendly.

Parking in York for free goes with this hotel, there's a great point if nothing else and plenty of it as well. The hotel was once two large houses so it is rather interesting inside with 2 stairways and corridors joining the 2 sides. Beware there are no lifts so hiking your suitcase up the stairs is not great. However,...

The staff were some of the best I've experienced, the location is fantastic with free parking, you are only 4 mins walk from the minster and only 15 minutes (ish) walk from the furthest attractions in york. It's swings and roundabouts with this hotel. We had a party decoration on our floor when we arrived and it was still there...
