Recommended by the York Tourist Office, primarily as we had a car and Greenside has off street parking close to the city centre. Bedroom had double and single beds- ok for 2 women. No ensuite. Towels would be better if replaced. Large bathroom serving several rooms - bath very comfortable but toilet hard to flush. Hostess friendly. Handy bus stop...

A reunion with several friends, I had a single room which was more than adequate. The shared bathroom was a bit dated but everything was spotless. The breakfast was amazing and portions were very good. Lynne the owner was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. I would certainly go back.

Room was clean and tidy but tired looking. Basic accommodation but adequate for a 1/2 night stay. Towels could do with being replaced. However, Lynne was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Suitably situated for walking into York.

We were in an annex outside, which was good in that we were self contained and out of the main house, however the annex smelled damp, I have better towels as floor cloths than were provided and the pillows were non existent.

A very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. A reasonable distance from York centre, which allowed us to take in the lovely buildings along the road, or take a pleasant stroll along the river. We packed as much as we could into our visit...being able to walk easily to all the sights. A lovely family run B and B. Comfy...

Clean, reasonably comfortable, ideal for short stays. Limited parking which when you have a large car can be a slight issue. Good breakfast and plenty of it. York really close. recommend the dormouse pub 10 mins walk away.
