It is a great place if you want a no thrills bed and breakfast.. We have only given 3 stars as felt like it could do with a bit of updating.. But overall staff are lovely, rooms are comfortable and clean.. Breakfast was very nice..

Visited this pub for Sunday Lunch as live local. Although the food was nice the service was very slow. We waited nearly an hour to receive a dessert and then it was lukemwarm at best. Decor could do with a bit of modernising and freshen up. Overall I would say decidedly average.

Check-in was easy, and each room has a designated parking spot...

In the morning there was no hot water so we went and inquired but all they said was that their bioler was 'iffy'. They didn't seem surprised or at all apologetic. Hot water is a basic standard...

Got a good deal on Hotels.com. Each room has its own parking space. Decided to walk into York - a long walk. I would advise getting the bus. A taxi back was around £5. There is a well stocked shop on the corner of the street. The breakfast was ok but you only get 1 slice of 'toast'. The rooms...
