We stayed here easter sat as we was attending a wedding in the evening.Upon arrival we met nikki the owner who showed us to the family suite on the top floor both bedrooms were spacious with a good size shower room in between. As we was only here overnight nikki drew us a plan around the city centre which was...

One nights stay in May 2015. My wife, mother & I stayed at the Betham Lodge Guesthouse for one night in May 2015. The guesthouse is a large converted house right on the A1036 Tadcaster Road about 4 miles south of York City centre. There is problem with using their postcode for SatNav guidance. My Garmin seems to place the...

Very friendly and welcoming host in Nikki who was very helpful in making sure we didn't miss anything in York. She marked a walking route of the city in a map and marked the location of Bettys Tearoom for me as I really wanted to go there. We had the family suite which was perfect for us and our two...

Lovely bathroom, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water. A very homely feel and Nikki the host was awesome. Her cooked breakfast was delicious. Lots of variety...

Friendly and informative checkin by Nikki who gave us advice on York and a few suggestions where to eat. Bentham Lodge is a traditional b&b where rooms are let in someones modern house not an old converted Victorian style affair. The b&b is a good 40 mins stroll into the city itself or £7.50 in a cab. The room had...

Hi Ian I wish you had pointed out your concerns when you were staying with us as regards to Agoda since we have no influence over how that company or any other OTA sets prices for our rooms or indeed those of any other premises on their website. I feel it is a tad unfair to penalise and criticise Bentham...

From being greeted at the door to leaving on Sunday it was an excellent stay and will definitely be returning. The rooms were spotless, the furnishings very up to date - felt like home from home. The location was close enough to the attractions of York, short taxi ride away and the breakfast was to die for, everyone's taste was...

Bentham lodge is clean, modern and has a very warm homely feel to it which is added to by Nicki the host. Nicki is very helpful and friendly to the...

“Although a little "out of town", there are frequent buses just a short walk away. Taxi will cost about £8 (Aug 2016) Walking will take about 40 mins (or ask Nikki for a place to park for free just 10 mins walk from the centre)”
