We stayed there first just one night on 18th Feb 2017 and we found the staff to be very helpful. The bar was very characteristic and the selection of ales was (for my tastes) perfect. The food looked good and we should've selected there to eat, but we went elsewhere. The room was adequate although quite small, we were in...

very disappointed, the food was nothing special, very basic and didn't look appealing. My son ordered the roast dinner, the Yorkshire pudding looked home made, but the meat looked and tasted like a thin piece of value ready cooked supermarket meat. The veg looked very sorry for themselves, Mine came in the fancy , basket for slim chips and miniature pan...

Stayed at the Lamb and Lion for the 2nd time last night. It's such a fantastic little hotel and the staff are so friendly. The new restaurant menu started yesterday too, food was "to die for", especially the blue cheese, baby beetroot and walnut starter. The breakfast was delicious this morning too.

My husband booked a 2 night break as a valentines surprise. On arrival the staff were very courteous and helpful and helped to carry our luggage to the room. Our room was lovely with a super view out onto the city walls. The food was fantastic and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. The only downside...

We stayed in the Lamb and Lion Inn for a weekend break. The Inn is an easy walk from the railway station and is situated very close to the Cathedral and just inside one of Yorks medieval gateways. It is ideally situated for exploring York and it's main attractions. York is packed with good pubs and at least three of...

Beautifully close to York Minister within hearing distance of the bells. Ideal location. Food was good and staff very helpful towards special dietary needs. Room was next to street so people having conversations under window not conducive to good night's sleep unfortunately. Room itself was small and cosy so felt it was a bit overpriced although very nice furnishings. One...

We had amazing staff service, all the staff were welcoming and friendly and easy to talk to and have a laugh with. We got taken up to our room and shown around the whole pub part with looked very cute and cosy. Our room looked exactly how it did on the photo and it was a beautiful, warm room. We...
