This was the first time we stayed at High Tor but it will not be the last. Very warm, friendly and caring welcome from owners Sue and Gary, couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in room 2 and were amazed to find a hotel suite behind its internal lobby ( great for keeping coats and shoes tidy). Very nicely...

Welcomed by the lovely owners, Sue & Gary. We stayed in Room 2 which is a lovely room on the first floor and decorated to a high standard with clean crisp white linen. Small touches to help with your stay with two wine glasses and a corkscrew. Ideal quiet location away from the main hustle of the harbour. Only a...

Stayed 4nights for a short break, Very clean /comfortable, Great breakfast, good hosts.Would highly recommend High Tor guesthouse. The best b&b I have used in Whitby, very well situated on the west cliff, the only drawback is the parking! as always very difficult as Whitby is so popular, High Tor supplies all guests with complementary parking tokens.

High Tor is always our first choice when we visit Whitby. Sue and Gary are excellent hosts, everywhere is beautifully clean and bright, the breakfasts are wonderful and it is well positioned for everything Whitby has to offer. Sue and Gary obviously work hard to maintain their very high standards - the whole place feels cared for and there are...

Lovely, welcoming, bright and immaculately decorated with a breakfast second to none. The place is a converted Victorian house with lovely staircases, and retains many of the original features. . The owners clearly go above and beyond to make customers feel welcomed and comfortable.
