Visited here after travelling from leicester for the week. Fancied fish and chips and what we actually got was whale and chips! My father and wife couldnt finish them. Asked how big they were and was told 18oz fillets! Cooked really well and good selection of beer aswell. At £14 for the two fish and chips would deffinatley recommend.

Our go to pub when in town. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is lovely! Also a really good quiz on a Wednesday night! Lovely harbour view dining room too. A must visit if you're in Whitby.

There are some tables that have excellent views over the harbour mouth which greatly add to the ambience if you can get one. The food was of excellent value and portions more than adequate. I enjoyed the fish pie immensely and my wife did not want a big lunch so just had a prawn cocktail, which was a meal in...

When in Whitby we normally eat in the establishment next door to The Board Inn, but it was very full so we thought we'd have a change. The dining area which I believe seats 46 people, is down a flight of steps from the main bar area and overlooks the harbour. It has a small bar, the tables are quite...

We stopped at this place for a Saturday night, its location is ideal, right in the center of Whitby by the harbor, and at the foot of the 199 steps to the Abbey. We were up in room 2 which was an attic room, it was a little awkward going up the tight winding steps, but nothing to be bothered...

Having a few days away in Whitby and just had to try the fish and chips somewhere. We were advised that the food here was good. The fish and chips were probably the best ones that I have ever had. This was on a Saturday night and at 9 o'clock a singer came on. Great food and great entertainment, what...

Called in for a couple of drinks nice friendly staff music not too loud so could still chat. It was a Tuesday when we called so not so busy. Would call again especially as my other half could have an old peculiar and was impressed that you could buy cockles and mussels.

Had a lovely meal with the family. Proper home cooked food in a lovely and cosy ambience. Recommend the giant Yorkshire pudding with steak and the curry is lovely. Would highly recommend and can't wait to visit again.

8 of my family went for Sunday dinner 1 been in a wheelchair, we folded the chair up then was abruptly told by the miserable red haired barmaid to move it as someone had nearly tripped over it? I find this hard as its big enough to see ,then when we got our dinner the large £7.95 ones were the...
