We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our visit. The house is delightful, immaculately presented and full of character. Hosts Richard and Jane made us feel very welcome, and we would certainly stay here again. Great location, just a five minute walk from the centre of Whitby. Lovely breakfast and some good recommendations from the hosts for dinner....

It was with some surprise that we read this review which we feel is unnecessarily harsh. When the guests (a party of four) returned from their walk at about 5 pm there was insufficient hot water for all of them to bathe. As soon as this was pointed out we apologised and switched the central heating system to override and...

stayed there a few years ago. Although its out of the main town area, it is well worth the stay. Very good furnishing and decoration, an excellent host and made us feel at home has an artist studio at the end of the garden which they welcome guest to.

A cold, damp day in Whitby was soon dispersed by the wonderfully warm welcome at Union Place. Our room (one of only two) was huge, beautifully furnished, and a lovely view through the bay window of the garden, and the Moors in the distance. The (shared) bathroom was as big as most conventional bathrooms, with a standalone bath and separate...

This was my 7th stay at this beautiful guest house. The Georgian inspiration captivated me years ago and I could and would not stay anywhere else on my trips to Whitby. Excellent hospitality from Richard the owner and lovely cuddles with Hettie the pooch. You really have to check this place out as the decor is amazing and you just...

As I said in the title...This place is just incredible! Absolutely everything was perfect in our stay: room, bathroom, breakfast and service were superb, the price surprisingly low for such an historical house. We loved the full Yorkshire breakfast and the kindness of the landlord, whose name I regretfully cannot recall... But I still remember the lovely Hattie, a well behaved dog who...

Union Place is an immaculate and beautifully furnished Georgian house in a good location, 10 minutes walk from Whitby harbour. We spent just one night there and enjoyed Richard's warm hospitality and excellent breakfast.

No need to repeat what everyone is saying about this B & B because it is all good and all true! It really is excellent - house, décor, rooms, host, breakfast.......very good quality and very good value. Parking is on road but plenty of it right outside, and an easy 5 minute walk into central Whitby through the park if...

Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights after our wedding. The rooms were gorgeous and the bathroom was equally amazing! Richard the host was really good and his breakfast was the best we've had! We would recommend this B&B to anyone coming to Whitby, a really good place to stay.

I recently stayed with my husband at this wonderful hotel. The rooms and bathroom were amazing, Richard the owner was lovely, the breakfast was more than I could eat. I thoroughly enjoyed it and we are booking to go back again with the children over the summer.
