I stayed here for 2 nights and although I would stay again it would have to be if they had a deal on. I stayed with family to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday and we were expecting something special. The house and the grounds are beautiful and it's in a good location near to Whitby. There were however a couple...

Dunsley Hall is in a beautiful rural setting, but just a mile away from the sea. Some of the rooms have sea views, although all of the rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. The restaurant is absolutely excellent, the food here has always been of a very high standard, in fact we rate it easily as good, if not better...

This could be a great place to stay if only they invested some money to ensure that everything works (taps lose in bathroom, wires from kettle a little doggy, old worn bed mattress) and to bring it up to date which could be done quite easily without spoiling the character of the hotel. Would we return? Only if we hear...

when we arrived we were very impressed with the grounds and the room was lovely. We didn't stay in for dinner so cannot comment on that. At breakfast we were served by surly waitresses, who took our breakfast order and never came back. They served people who had come in after us. They looked at us several times, but never...

Swiftly checked in, rooms of a lovely size with comfy beds. Stayed in the hotel for a lovely meal and a chilled out night. All staff were a credit to the hotel so...

As a surprise from my other half I stayed in this hotel for one night before a day out in Whitby. The welcome was lovely when we arrived and the staff were particularly accommodating since we were running late due to bank holiday traffic! The room was lovely, well appointed and spotless. The decor is very traditional but homely nonetheless....
