My wife and I have just spent a lovely couple of nights at Ellies Guest House. Val and Pete are great hosts, rooms are large, light, airy and modern. Breakfast is hearty and easy parking is a massive bonus. Thank you both for your hospitality, see you next time we visit Whitby.

Pete and Val restored our faith in B&B's. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, breakfast has a good selection to suit all tastes and the overall atmosphere is friendly. An issue of our making with our arrival time was dealt with in a professional manner. A terrific stay in a very well located guest house

The rooms are well-maintained and kept fresh. Val and Peter were, once again, welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Can recommend the scrambled egg and smoked salmon! Parking on the road is by arrangement with each establishment and is very reasonable - ask Val or Peter when you arrive for a voucher.

Just back from a two night stay here and I cannot praise it too highly. A warm welcome, a cosy, spotless en-suite room and breakfast made to order. And what a breakfast - fruit, cereals, fruit juice, full English or your choice from a generous menu and the lightest home made scones I have ever tasted. Worth every penny and...
