We have stayed here a few times and we just love the location of the Hotel. We upgraded to a standard plus bedroom with sea view and it was a lovely bedroom. The bathroom a little tired but was perfectly okay for us and a very spacious room and a view to die for As always the staff are second...

As always, good value but dated hotel. Food was good value and obviously made to a budget. Biggest rip off is the drink. £19 a bottle is typical for wine. Beer £3.80 a pint. However should you chose to avoid alcohol and drink lime & soda(from the soda machine at the bar) an eye watering £3.60 a pint is charged....

I've only ever come in here for a coffee as a "walk in" with my family. Its an old building and the decor needs updating. The toilets are clean. There are at least two seating areas overlooking the harbour. Fabulous views.

I hate to be negative about any hotel but this one was absolutely terrible. The staff are lovely it's the actual building. I came with my husband for a taster coach trip with Shearings the driver was lovely and very helpful the coach was very clean and pleasant. My friend and I had a great 3-day break at the Bay Royal. What a bargain! We had a much welcome free upgrade to a sea view twin room. Waiter service at dinner and all at a bargain price. We will be visiting a lot more Bay hotels in the future.

Food was very good. Drinks reasonable. The hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment. The room we stayed in had an amazing view, just a shame about the filthy windows. The rooms are not nice. Wallpaper peeling and dirty. Windows very old and worse for wear. And the toilet seat yuck. Such a shame, the hotel is in prime...

We visited Bay Royal to meet up with friends we hadn't seen for several years. We had stayed there before but for our friends it was their first visit. We had top floor rooms as requested but had to carry all our luggage up the five flights of stairs as the lift was out of order ! As ambulant guests...

Great experience. Sorry we could only stay one night but fully booked for the rest of the week. Our corner twin room was perfect, sea and abbey views, tastefully decorated, and extremely comfortable beds. Hot buffet breakfast was excellent, as was the service throughout our stay, and the hotel has its own car parks. Will definitely return, with more notice...

Overall I thought the trip was excellent value for money. Just before we arrived at the hotel, our driver Mike said although overall the reviews on TripAdvisor were not great we were to make up our own mind, which is exactly what we did. Check in for me was painless, although more about that later. I had a single sea...

Overall we enjoyed this well organised break and considered that it was very good value. The coach travel was what you would expect, a local pick up, taken to a main hub and transferred to your coach for the rest of the holiday. Our main driver for the break (Mike) was a font of knowledge that he shared in a...
