Just returned from a three night stay as a family of four at this real gem of a place. When we arrived we where greeted by a guy by the name of Brian, who turned out to be a legend of a host. The place itself is a very impressive eighteenth century house and with the benefit of off road...

We have just stayed at The Bue Sky for 3 nights. Brian the lovely guy that owns the place put us in his annexe which is a studio apartment over his garage at the top of his very steep garden. We dubbed it The Crows Nest. It was so lovely and peaceful and private up there and the bed was...

We had a really nice stay at the Big Sky. We were given the garden room which was very comfy and quiet with a massive comfy bed. The breakfast was cooked fresh and hot just as I like it. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I could not really find fault with our stay.

This operator continues to advertise that they accept cards for payment, while they are strictly a cash operation, that puts visitors in an embarrassing and awkward spot upon check-out. The continued use of this false advertising on their booking site is clearly a way to lure people in while avoiding transaction fees. There are many more B&B in Whitby to...

This was a last minute booking for me and my partner. We stayed in the annex room in the garden. Lovely room, comfy bed and good quality quilts and pillows. Very clean and ideal for a short stay. Friendly welcome from owner and when we were leaving. To our surprise we missed breakfast as decided to stay in bed but...

Good location, annex room was comfy (though it could use a chair for reading etc), food was acceptable for the price, hosts friendly, but the stay was coloured by two irritating matters on the last day. It’s very clear on booking.com about using VISA etc for billing but when it came time to settle Brian said, to our embarrassment, that...

We've just returned from a lovely stay at Big Sky B&B. Brian was a very friendly host. The rooms were clean and tidy. The breakfast was really tasty - locally sourced bacon and sausage! The location is great - a short stroll into town or up to the Cleveland Way. We'll hopefully be returning next year!

We have just returned home after spending the bank holiday enjoying the hospitality of Brian and Vicki. Nothing was too much trouble and everything immaculately clean. We stayed in the seperate annex which was great as it's away from the main house so you don't feel you're disturbing people when you come and go. Comments about breakfast being plonked in...
