This year 2009 will be the 5th year in a row that we have stayed with Jill and Chris for the folk week.
They are a really freindly couple and the Landsbury is second to none in the way of accommodation. Good location for all...More
Ive been staying at the Lansbury for many years now, twice a year, and it just keeps getting better and better. The owners have put a lot of hard work into the place, and it shows. You couldnt ask for a cleaner place to stay....More
We arrived at the guest house and were promptly greeted by the very friendly owner. She showed us to our room on the top floor, which was spotlessly clean and had a decent sized, also spotless, ensuite bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast...More

Good points - nice ground floor room, which however looked out over the back yard. Good shower room...More

If on booking your room you had asked weather it was front or back facing, you could have been relocated to another room. As you never stipulated it could not be rectified. Most people prefer a comfy chair to watch t.v. in on an evening,...More

Sorry never stopped here , but I love whitby and know myself most b and bs are high up top. Maybe you should of done more homework to whitby as you obviously have never been in gathering with you not knowing where most b &abs are and about your room being on second floor and use struggled maybe use should of asked for ground floor when booking room and if you forgot you could of asked if ground was available and I'm sure they would of been happy to help so I do not think it fair you rating them so low on the fact of it being high up "nearly all are" and you having to climb stairs when you got there . That was your error not the owners think you should ask before booking in future.

To be brutally honest Debbie, as you have been with this reviewer; I think you should mind your own business. It isn't up to you to tell someone what their experience was and how do you know they didn't ask for help with their health problems? Just because they don't mention it in a limited space review, doesn't mean you can assume it didn't happen! And by the way it's "should have" not "should of".
