Arrived here for 3 nights after a long, tiring drive from Glasgow. Welcome at check in efficient rather than friendly or welcoming.

We were allocated room 315 which was spacious, modern, functional and spotlessly clean and equipped with a fan, iron and ironing board and basic hospitality tray, no decaf, biscuits or frills. Bathroom had a great over bath shower and hand wash and shower gel were provided wall mounted again basic no frills eg lotions, shower cap etc. Plenty of room for clothes and personal belongings and 2 chairs provided, also sufficient plug points and usb points for 2 people. No fast charge points though.

We took the breakfast which was £10 pp per day. Cheaper to book on arrival at £8 pp per day. Breakfast more than adequate not a huge choice.

Location is very convenient as it has been built over The bus station and is 10 minutes from the city centre and all it offers.

Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The service was wonderful, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. It is situated next to Norwich Bus Station which is ideal for travelling around Norwich, it has restaurants and shops in within walking distance. We arrived on Friday and had dinner in the restaurant, excellent taste and very reasonable price. Next day we had the all you can eat breakfast buffet, we paid for this on the day as we were not sure if we would all want breakfast, the english breakfast was delicious and the fresh fruit and yogurt went down a treat, there were also cereals, croissants, toast, jam, and hot drinks, coffee , tea, hot chocolate, etc, also orange juice and apple juice, the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and cleared and cleaned the tables chatting to customers, asking how everything was, the staff on reception were very helpful and friendly, we asked for extra tea, coffee, milk and sugar and were given what we wanted, they also explained how to get the discount off of the parking which is right next door. Our group of 7 all really enjoyed the experience, thank you to all the staff at Travelodge Central in Norwich on Queens Road *****

Location is excellent, didn’t take us long walking to the middle of the town. Checking in to the hotel was extremely quick, about 2 minutes total which was great with 2 young kids.
Hallway to the room smelt very fresh, (family) room 320 was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was tasty and worthy of the price, lots of variety from your full English items to cereals to croissants etc.
Reception staff, cleaners, cooks and manager were all polite.
Only minor issues we had were that one plug socket (closest to door) in room 320 wasn’t working though plenty of others to choose from.
No hairdryer in the room though a quick ask at reception and they provided us one without hesitation.
Car park next door is very convenient but very expensive (even with discount, ask at reception) so personally I’ll maybe look about next time.
Paid a 2 star price for a 5 star service, would recommend

Stayed at Norwich Travelodge on Sunday 2 February with granddaughter visiting Norwich University.
The receptionist Lynda was most welcoming and friendly.
Our room was on the 5 th floor and was perfect, no noise at all and a very spacious room.
The choice at breakfast is excellent and very good value
If there is a Travelodge award for employee of the month it should go to Lynda she really was so helpful and made our stay very enjoyable
I would definitely stay at Norwich Travelodge again

On arrival at 3pm we were greeted by a friendly helpful lady. We had facing rooms on Floor 5 and were pleasantly suprised at the cleanliness of both rooms. Great location for a walk into the City to do our browsing. We had a pizza in the evening and enjoyed the breakfast very much in the morning... great value for money and we certainly would be back. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Good customer service, nice breakfast all for a fair price. Was concerned being very central in Norwich but was no noise problems at all in fact quieter than the village I live!

Booked to see the Xmas lights and do some shopping so location was perfect. No free parking but car park is right next to the hotel and you get 40% off so I parked up and with the idea location we just walked everywhere because we were central

Location was great in the centre of the city. Parking in the local Sainsburys was reasonable for 24 hrs. Breakfast kept us going all day which also catered for my vegan diet. On arrival the room already had the fan on and the curtains closed to try and keep it cool. Would use this travelodge again to bust this part of the country.

I stayed in the Norwich Central Travelodge and I could not believe how comfortable a stay it was, I slept amazingly despite being right above a bus station. The staff were so friendly and the food was great value for money (big portions, nicely prepared, very tasty). I stayed for 5 days and enjoyed the experience very much. The water pressure was brilliant too, which is always appreciated at a hotel. I didn’t want to leave when my stay finished!

Warm welcome. Website not v clear on parking, but best bet for us was Your Parking Space app where we could book 2 days parking at Sainsbury's carpark on same road for £16, with unlimited access to take the car and return it throughout our stay. We were able to unload the car outside the hotel.

We brought our small dog and were happy he was welcome, but note that dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant so if your pet isn't great at being left alone in a hotel room then you may need to take turns with your travel companions (if you have them)eating breakfast.

Vegan food choices, but quorn sausages are on request so ask early as you go in for breakfast, and they're steamed so not the most appealing. No dairy free milk, so you may want to bring your own and they said they could keep it in their fridge if you like.

Clean, decent hotel in a good location. Not at all noisy at night even with the window open. Staff all wonderful.

This hotel was actually so awful, nothing was clean and the bath still had pubes from previous guests so they clearly do not clean. Plus water left in the sink which WAS DIRTY and the plug hole was closed, which meant in order to get the water to go you had to stick your hands in that dirty brown water they left for us before we checked in - not a chance was I doing that. Customer service was also not good, not inviting whatsoever and quite rude.
You can stay at premier inn for the exact same price and actually be able to go in to your room without it being utterly disgusting.

Yes, there is a discount available via a ticket that you insert into the machine. However Staff on Reception advised that Sainsbury's is cheaper and just across the road

Is there a lift in the hotel? Norwich central
Answer from Tracy M
Lockerbie, United Kingdom9 contributions6 helpful votes
Yes there I a lift. Parking at the NCP car park next door is expensive but you can get a special ticket from Travelodge reception which gives you money off. There is also pay and display parking up the road, same side of road as Travelodge, across from Sainsubry's, as I arrived later at night and the NCP car park was closed.
