I stayed here with my partner as a first getaway since Covid-19. I was a little hesitant but the hotel has put up many controls. They replace the shower curtain after each use and only provide 2 pillows. You are sent an email prior to your stay where you can request any extras.
The room was clean and tidy. My only tip would be to request a room away from the road if possible as it is quite noisy. Since we stayed during the heatwave a fan was in the room but the window had to be shut due to the traffic.

There is plenty of parking.

The pub attached to the hotel does breakfast but only a set menu for continental or hot food, you can't just order individual items which makes it quite pricey if you aren't going to eat anything else.

I stayed at the Premier Inn Newquay, on the seafront last year and paid £200 for a small double room with no bath and a view of a homeless person's shoppy cart and a concrete wall. The staff were so indifferent and i woved never to go to a Premier Inn again.... But needs must and i found myself and my son needing to be in this area for the evening. I booked two rooms for half the price i had paid for one in Newquay. Imagine my deleight when i was able to park in the car park, was met on reception by the friendly face of a very helpful lady. Dinner in the restaurant was great, There was another very helpful young man on reception who gave us a pen because we did not have one ( little things mean a lot) The room was lovely, clean and had a bath, and every amenety you need such as hair dryer, TV and fan! My son did not feel well enough to go to breakfast but the lady in the restaurant gave me a tray (without my asking) so that i could easily take his breakfast up to him. Then when in reception another young lady on the desk not only held the door open for me but offered to go to my room with me to open other doors on route.
This may sound a little detailed and possibly ridiculous things to comment on but for me the little things are important and make your stay no matter how short
This was such a refreshing experience following our stay at Newquay and has restored my faith in Premier Inn, it is quite simple, care about your customers and treat them as you would expect to be treated yourself..... they did.

We booked 3 rooms, they were all clean and evidence the Premier Inn have obvioulsy thought carefully about how to make everyone feel safe during the pandemic. The staff were friendly and were happy to book our rooms next door to each other and very helpful when I wanted to ammend my booking.
Minor issues were that there wasn't a lot of space in the car park, possibly due to an event going on at the Showground. The restaurant carpet was sticky, but not sure if that was due to the cleaner that Premier Inn are using right now due to Covid. Everything else was very clean and tidy.

We stayed here for two nights in mid August, check in was easy and the staff where nice, the hotel have made great efforts with social distancing and plenty of hand sanitiser. Our family room accommodated us really well and was spacious. The restaurant was good with excellent staff and very cheap with the eat out to help out scheme.
We where aware before booking of the no air con so we did bring an extra fan (one was provided in the room) as the weather was predicted to be very hot. However, we did not anticipate the over bearing temperature of the room i mean it was hotter than a smack heads spoon on giro day. I would stay again only if they got air con in every room or i stayed in the winter.

This hotel comes with a very affordable rate, particularly when booked in advance; its location is also very convenient, near the A47 and with easy access to Norwich. Nevertheless, it was very quiet and we couldn't hear any noise from the road.

There is a restaurant on site (which we didn't try) and on the opposite site of the A47 various shops, supermarkets and restaurants.

Rooms are quite spacious, tidy and clean, with a pretty basic design, though for a few nights it works well. Staff is polite and professional.

Overall a good option when keeping an eye on budget.

My son and I were travelling for a martial arts competition in the UEA, meaning we were going to be up early and back late. We chose this Premier Inn based on the expectation of a good night's sleep and that the location is close enough to the UEA such that we wouldn't need to get up any earlier than was necessary.
I booked a family room, comprising of Twin beds - which we found to be a large Double/King size bed and a separate single bed. So far, so good as this had exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, the large bed was about as comfortable as sleeping on the ground. If you like an exceptionally firm bed, then this is the place for you. If you don't want to wake with a stiff neck and frozen shoulder then I'd consider staying elsewhere. Location was great for the University of East Anglia, and has a supermarket within walking distance (which also has fuel - great if you have had a long drive to get there).
The 'Table Table' restaurant is in dire need of refurbishment and appears either under-staffed or has badly trained staff. Ripped curtains, toilet seats hanging off the bowl, doors which don't lock, waiting for over 45 minutes for food (and when it comes, it's clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a while as it is dry) are amongst some of the complaints. While I appreciate that many places have suffered during covid, some places have used this to their advantage and taken time to address things and make it better. This is clearly not the case here.
When complaining to reception about the problem with the bed, the response was simply "sorry about that" with no attempt to reconcile or address any issues.

First night at 05.50 the elephants stamped all over the ceiling - woke us up and could not get back to sleep. Reported this to reception.
Second night they waited until 07.15 to do the same, we didn't want to awake until 08.30.
Third night started at 23.15 for over an hour and again at 07.45.
Last night someone put slippers on the elephants, so they made far less noise and didn't wake us up.

Stayed here for business and needed a good nights sleep between long working days.
The room felt clean and tidy, however, the nights sleep was awful, the room above was extremely noisy from 0100am to 0730am. Apparently running around with hobnail boots on all night.
Made for two very sleepless nights.
Staff where rarely at the front desk to complain to at the time.
Largely disappointing and restless stay.
If you aim to stay at this location, make sure you get a room that isn’t on the ground floor!
Sound proofing would make all the difference.

Just spent a week here, it suited our needs for the week, as we just wanted to have a look around the boards and look into having a boating holiday next year.
I was vey impressed with the cleanliness of our room, they didn’t service the rooms every day but you could ask for a good clean if you were staying for a week and always get clean towels when ever you wanted them.
I found all the staff friendly and helpful all in all we enjoyed our stay here.

Booked a twin room to share with my friend for 3 nights whilst at the showground car show. The twin room was actually a king size and a sofa bed, so not ideal. I had to rough it in the sofa bed for all three nights. Room was clean and everything worked fine. We never got our drinks for tea / coffee replenished over the 3 nights, and there wasn't enough milk to make 2 cups of tea. Towels never got refreshed either, so had to use them for all our stay.
The table table restaurant was ok, although putting the charge to our room was too much for them to manage, so we were asked to paid on the second day, and left on the 1st and 3rd day to pay back at the hotel as people were queuing to get seated and the staff had no time to let us pay. I'm an honest lad so paid for all 3 days but they never checked. One of the staff was a bit short with me when ordering the full english breakfast, which was a surprise. I've stayed before so no how the breakfast system works.
