I stayed at the RE Shoreditch with my American cousin on my birthday. Check in was simple, and it was easy to find our room. We stayed on the first floor, and had a room on the corner at the main road - noise was not an issue. It was a very hot day and the first relief we had...

We spent just one night here on Friday but will be back! We had a great room with everything you could possibly need. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. The area is full of interesting places to eat ( we loved Ombra just up the road) and places to visit( the Museum of Childhood was brilliant). We were especially pleased...

I should start by saying that I am not writing this review in a good frame of mind--I'm wide awake from the terrible traffic noise and unable to get back to sleep. The hotel looks fancy, but they cut corners -- from insufficient sound proofing to sheets that are polyester to scratchy towels. The front desk people are helpful, but...

I chose the RE Shoreditch because it had good transport links into the West End...yet was far away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Liverpool Street Station (underground, national rail, Stanstead Express) is a 10min bus ride away, and buses came every few minutes. If this is your first time to London, you may want to stay somewhere closer...

The welcome when you arrive is weird. First they want to block £50 against your credit card - in case you spend any money in the hotel - I have never know this before, and I have stayed in all sorts of hotels across the world. Then they ask you to sign a paper confirming that you will pay a...

Disappointingly average, stayed in upgraded room and was hoping for more. The room had a tiny tv which was hard to see as was set too far back from the bed, the bath was too small to lie down. Bath room decoration was very un stylish and dated looking. I'd stay in a Jurys inn over this anytime. Also its...

Staff at reception were not particularly friendly, it felt like we were getting in the way of whatever else they would rather be doing, I'm fairly sure the woman behind the desk dealing with the gentleman next to me even tutted at him on discovering he had bought a different card to the one he'd booked with. The room was...

The best thing about RE Shoreditch is that it is Central for those whose businesses focus more on the east side and it is a safe area. Internet works and you get things done via internet before you start the day. Room is clean, no frills but has all the basic requirement like coffee/tea etc so that you can have...

This is a very average hotel. Not bad, but not great. I tried to check in early and was told that I'd have to pay extra - that was after paying about £200 per night. Location on Hackney Road is fine. I walked into Central London and it took about 45 minutes. The Tube at Bethnal Green is about a...

Firstly, I know it is difficult to get a decently priced hotel near to London city centre. This was reasonably priced (by London's inflated standards) but ultimately was quite an average hotel. The area is a good distance away from the city centre and the best way to get into the city is by the bus services. The stop is...
