I wasn't really sure if I should give this hotel 1 or 2 points out of 5, but because I'm a light sleeper and still slept really well and the interior design is fairly modern and OK (not really nice but just fine) I feel generous enough to give them 2 points. When we arrived, the shower had not been...

I took my partner to London for a surprise birthday trip, and the Hyde Park Hotel really made it extra special! Upon check-in, the receptionist was very friendly and happily answered any questions we threw at her regarding London. Our room was on the second floor and my word, what a room! Once we opened the door we were greeted...

The hotel is pleasant enough with fairly modern rooms. It is in a good location (5 minutes from Bayswater tube station) and is well placed for Hyde Park, Notting Hill and Paddington Station. There are a few restauraunts, bars and shops on the nearby high street. The room was quite small but had enough storage, a kitchenette and freeview TV....

The Hyde Park Hotel is one of those 'value for money'-hotels: not very memorable, but still a place where you get what you pay for (and those hotels are sometimes hard to find in big cities like London). The room I had was quite small (because of the double bed and kitchenette), my collegue had a slightly bigger room (but...

Wonderful hotel. Very close to Bayswater Tube station. Recently remodeled architecture and furniture. Terrific bathroom with kitchenette. We stayed four nights and had a lovely experience. Not elegant but comfortable and perfect for small family. Additionally, free wireless internet!

I stayed in the hotel in march 2011. Its location is excellent. The nearest tube station is bayswater (circle and district lines) and few meters further queensway (central line). In addition there's a bus station very close to the hotel from where you can catch bus no 7 which can take you directly to oxford street or the british museum....

The hotel itself is nice - good location, close to the metro station, friendly personnel, good value for money. Freshly renovated. The issues are coming from the tiniest bathroom I ever seen in a hotel (which is not a big deal at the end of the day) but mostly from unusually noisy climate system in the rooms.

I can not speak highly enough of my stay at the Hyde Park Hotel. The Hotel staff were always very pleasant and happy to help. The Hotel is very clean as are the rooms and are comfortable to relax in especially after a long day walking in Central London.

My wife and I loved this place. Just what we were looking for. Great neighborhood - we don't have these kind of hotels in Indiana! Very friendly staff too. By the way, tons of authentic restaurants in the area for our romantic getaway.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
