I arrived at the hotel on a Saturday teatime, booked in quickly and easy. The room was clean, presentable & had everything I needed. There was a slight bit of road noise from main road but bearable. The bed was very comfortable. I was unfortunately woken about 5am from someone in the corridor making quite a noise while walking along...

Good sizeable rooms with comfy bedding and everything you'd need. Location is great and close to two well-connected tube stations. Only downside is that breakfast left a little to be desired and would suggest buying breakfast at a local cafe instead. Overall a very good visit though.

Comfortable, clean and in a great location. My only small issue would maybe be the price considering it's a Travelodge, they hike the price up because of the location but compare it to other places you could stay which have a few more bells and whistles - you might question why pay it to stay there. However, that said i...

I had Travelodge booked because it was very close to the training center I needed to attend daily. The hotel is good if you do not expect anything from it, starting with the water temperature and ending with wifi connection. The reception ladies were quite prompt with helping me sort out the confusion with the payment, as on arrival I...

Good location for just out of the centre of central London, and great for the business district. Clean, comfortable and nice stay. You can have 3 or 4 adults staying in one room, but it's odd that the 3rd (or 4th) gets a child's bed, which isn't very comfortable at all unless you sleep on another duvet. The breakfast was...

Major 8am construction directly outside our room not mentione by then hotel. The bathroom really smelt of damp, room was like an oven when we walked in, really hard pillows and one towel between two people, no handwash and cleaners shouting to each other outside in the corridors before 9am - it was like a comedy sketch at times.

When I entered the room it was sauna temperature. After looking around for the A/C control I spotted a desk fan on the floor of the tiny (open) closet and realized that there was no A/C! I had not checked at booking as it had not occurred to me. I unplugged the electric radiator but the window (about 12" wide)...

Clean comfortable room (especially once I'd turned the heating down) with clean towels and hot running water. The staff we polite, well presented and helpful. Yes the carpets in the corridors were stained but it's not as if you walk up and down then barefooted. They were not recent stains but ones that had been cleaned and left marks on...

We booked this hotel for a couple of night away as a family. It was fairly easy to get to, we got the 205 bus from Euston station to Old Street Station and then it's a 5 minute walk around the corner to the hotel. The hotel itself was warm, clean and friendly. The staff were polite and booked us...

A good, clean, inexpensive hotel for a short break near the City of London. The rooms are clean, warm and basic. You don't expect frills with a Travelodge and you don't get them but you do get friendly reception, a bar open until 4am if you need it, you can get food (pizza, burger etc) most of the day and...

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
