I was here recently for 3 nights for work and I found it a lovely little hotel.

The rooms are clean, simple and decent for a short trip, it came with Wifi (less than 30 minutes free) a Tv, shower, bathroom, desk, chair, king-size bed, and a mini wardrobe! Be wary of the drinks machine as it didn't work for me when I was there, I would not bother with the vending machine as there is a Tesco express less than a minute up the road!

A colleague who stayed on the 1st floor advised that when he stayed it was quite loud and I kind of understood what he meant, there were noisy neighbors and the walls are quite thin, however on the windows, there is a second layer of the window to block out the London streets, you will get the odd noise and can hear when the train goes by on the underground BUT I was able to sleep pretty well for 2 nights, the third night I think was a dodgy burger!

£4.80 a pint ......Welcome to London!

On the nights I stayed there the bar and restaurant open up for locals and hotel guests to come in and watch any sport on the giant projector, its a lovely little venue and due to prices me and my colleague decided to stay cheap and cheerful and stay in the bar, the food is okay, cheap and cheerful

On to the food, the first night I had a double cheeseburger with chips and onion rings, food was OK nothing special just frozen chips. 3/5

2nd night a 12-inch Pepperoni Pizza which was lovely made in the onsite pizza oven, 3/5

3rd night had the GBC, Golden Breaded Chicken burger, it was OK, not southern fried but tasted like a roast chicken covered in buttery breadcrumbs, did not feel right after eating this 1/5 would not recommend!

Stayed here as I had work not too far away and it’s very well located between two underground stations. Plenty of places around the hotel for all your needs.

However the hotel it’s self is very average even for a Travelodge. I booked a SuperRoom which I was glad about because it gives you the extra space to make you feel comfortable but the carpet was dirty with stains on, there was mold round the windows. Nothing major but not pleasant to see. I do have to say the bathroom was clean but the plastic ring that keeps the shower head attached is very inconvenient. Regarding the WIFI they have it’s not worth paying for it at all. I spent most of my time trying to connect back to it as it kept cutting off every 3-4 minutes. Annoying when you have work to do.

I know the hotel cannot do much about who books there but on my first night there was a sick all in the hallway obviously from someone who couldn’t hold their alcohol and bottles strewn about. The walls are very thin and above a lady spent 3 hours screaming, banging. I realise there’s not much the staff can do to control the behaviour of others but you can hear everything that goes on in that hotel. With the hotel being on a main road it does sound like you don’t have a window at all sometimes with the noise. But it’s central London.

Overall it’s a decent hotel for a few nights however I would not stay again. The only redeeming factor is location and the friendly staff. I would be willing to pay more for a little more comfort.

A typical Travelodge, however it’s ideally located on city road, a stones throw from Moorgate underground station (catch the Hammersmith & City Circle Line line from the back of Paddington station for a direct 20
minute service).
Despite advertising public WiFi its only free for 30 minutes after that its ‘pay to play’ which in this day and age is just a customer ripoff.
Rooms are adequate, clean, with an electric room heater (no air-con) and a meagre refreshments tray although ample supplies are freely available on a ‘self-grab’ in the lobby.
Secondary double glazing keeps all the noise out save for the light rumble of the underground .
Average choice for breakfast with a long queue for the 2 slow coffee machines. Restaraunt menu is unexciting and extremely limited with a basic 2 course for £12, which is adequate if you are on a budget or not food fussy. Drinks at the bar are limited and are priced on the unacceptable side of high !
Good access for wheelchairs on all levels and reception from street level.

We stayed here as a family of 4 last week for 2 nights. Location of the hotel is great, with a bus stop right outside you get the number 76 which takes you to the London Eye and where all the sights are. There's also moorgate tube station which is a 5 minute walk, although we didn't use the tube. There's a tesco Express right outside and a pret next door. Eateries are everywhere in london, and we found a great wagamama just 5 minutes walk.
Staff in the hotel are outstanding. They really are a credit to the hotel service. Special thanks go to Michael, Rasheedat and Towera on reception, who went out of their way to help us print out some vouchers. They were so helpful and kept going when it seemed that it was an impossible task!
Food at the hotel is lovely. We had an evening meal and breakfast, all lovely and hot and plentiful.
The only downside of our stay, which is why I've given 4 stars and not 5, was our room, it was tiny. We had a family room, so a king size and 2 singles, and we could not move in there. The window was also about 5 foot in the air, so we couldn't see outside at all, which made the room feel like a dungeon. The tap didn't work properly, and we had no hand wash the whole time we were there.
A couple of adjustments to the room would have made our stay excellent.
I would definitely stay here again, but next time will ask for a better room.

We were at this Travelodge for our wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday, it a trip we make regular over the past 10 years, and stayed at several Travelodges with no issues. The problems I found are as follows
On arrival I always check if the Mattress has a cover on them on this occasion this hotel doesn't have them,
The room looked clean but I found when making the bed ( I do this to save the chamber maid ajob) found the back of the bed the carpet had not been cleaned for sometime.
The day I did want the chamber maid to do the room when she cametothedoor she would not come in even though my wife was there I tried to explain other we would go out but she could not speak English and kept saying non no, this left mefeelingalittle awkward in the end I just put the towels in her laundry basket and took new ones off her.
We paid for breakfast this included a cooked one but on the occasions I tried the food was Luke warm on complaining the manager gave the excuse the heater of the lamp was not working, no real effort to amend this. On the second occasion the same thing food Luke warm again, this time the 2nd manager said it's been a problem for a few days.
So I would only give it a 2-3 rating at besst

My wife and I travelled to London for her birthday and new year.
We found this hotel in a quiet area of central London. It was only a couple of mins walk from Old street tube station. Our room was on the top floor with the least rooms on the level so it made it quieter. It was also clean and comfortable with big windows giving good views of the city. The shower was of good quality with plenty of towels/ shower gel etc.
We opted to have the unlimited breakfast which was a bit of a'free for all' but overall was good value for money with plenty of choice and availability considering it was very busy.

building work right outside our room ruined a three night family stay in London. Nobody could sleep with a pneumatic drill going all night on the road right outside your room, anyone who has kids will knows how awful it can be when they have had no sleep ! I asked to be swapped to another room at 3am wen we could not tale the noise any longer, was told to ring the council by staff on reception as there was no manager and no rooms ! Booked a family room 2 adults and 2 children, with breakfast and evening meals added on, only to be told they had only billed us for 2 meals so I had to pay the first night, miraculously they were included in the 2nd night and then yep you guessed i had to pay again on the 3rd night ! As it stands 48hrs from my initial complaint I have yet to receive a response. However i have photographs, sound recordings and receipts so will not let this one go

The location is very well located in London city centre, near to the Moorgate underground station. Price is correct and breakfast consistent. Not a charming location but price to budget and useful for London.
Rooms were clean and functionnal.
BUT hot water missing, wifi option (expensive) and didn't work at full time, and please do not ask a breakfast to pick up in case of early departure as it will not been prepared.

Myself and my partner stopped for 2 nights for a birthday weekend. After stopping the first night as we made the bed the next morning we flipped my pillow to find a stain. After looking at this on further inspection the stain wasn’t on the pillow case but on the actual pillow. We removed the pillow case to find a blood stain on the pillow. We went down to reception to ask them to change the pillow which they said they would do and change the bed. So we went out to explore London. When we returned to the room the housekeeping staff had changed the bed however they had put the pillow back on the bed with a new pillow case on. (To note we had put the pillow on the floor with the stain facing up so they had to pick the pillow off the floor on the other side of the room). I then physically took the pillow down to reception and asked for a brand new pillow. Then housekeeping said they would bring a brand new pillow to the room. In all fairness this was done promptly; however I never received anything from this not even an apology. I use Travelodge a lot so this was disappointing to experience.

My experience started with No wifi on the first day even though it was prepaid at 12 pounds a day. To add to my annoyance only 1 device worked with the wifi. In addition to this we were offered a "free drink" this did not pad the bad service.

On day 2 we came back to an untidy room with no bedding done after spending the whole day out, only the towels were changed and placed on the unclean bedding from the night before. We requested prior by placing the tag over the door handle and no change.

A few hours later a fire drill was conducted and the fire safety procedure was a joke, no one knew what was happening, and was a complete waste of time.

Day 3 We spoke to the manager who was very rude to us and insinuated that it was our fault for not telling the front desk to have our room cleaned. We were staying in a 'super room' but it came with no perks to give it this title. If I wanted to clean a room I would have stayed in an Air BnB.

The manager assured us that our room would be cleaned every day and it came as no surprise that it was not cleaned the next day, the manager noticeably was becoming annoyed with us for pointing out these issues and we began to feel ill-treated because we wanted good service.

Each morning I felt uncomfortable when the cleaner would come, they would only change the bedding, the dirty tea cups were left and on days the tea was not refilled. The experience was not pleasant the only thing to look forward to was leaving the hotel. For 1200 pounds I would not wish it upon my worst enemy to stay here, extremely rude service from the cleaning staff and assistant manager who argued with us for pointing out rudimentary tasks and services that other hotels provide.

The breakfast is garbage, no options for non-pork eaters, the pancakes were stale and the coffee was cheap. The desk staff were the only pleasure and the bartender empathized with me. The black staff members stood out in making me feel welcome as I felt some levels of prejudice from the assistant manager and the cleaners.. loads of micro racist aggressions.

The manager lacks accountability and should not be in that position!
