Detailed Reviews
Super impressed with this innovative new member of the Premier Inn family. Yes, the rooms are compact and not suitable for long stays, if you are looking for something affordable for a couple of nights in the centre of London then you can't go far wrong with the Hub in Covent Garden.
On first view my wife and I thought "how are we going to sleep in here?", but it turned out to be one of the best nights' sleep of our 11 day trip to Europe. Creative use of space, such as the pullout under bed luggage store, and the end of bed slide out desk make the experience much less cramped than you might first think. The shower is great with decent shampoo/shower gel in the bathroom, it has what you need. For £85 in the heart of the West End you will not find a better place.
We didn't eat breakfast here but £5 for a bacon/sausage sandwich or various breakfast pastries /cereals it's a pretty good deal. Also, free coffee and tea seem to be available 24/7.
PS check in is at 3, check out at 11 but if you arrive early they will store your baggage in a secure space, and will also do the same after you've checked out on the day you leave.

This hotel is in a fantastic location and is in walking distance from Waterloo station, about 15 to 20 minutes away, but also close to a tube station if you don’t fancy a stroll. Easy check in and all was explained about hot drinks being available 24hrs a day. Smart card entry to the accommodation area and rooms. On entering the room the lights automatically turned on which was a nice touch. Small room, but that was to be expected. A glass pod with frosted glass was the shower and toilet area. Not that we needed it, the hanging area was a little challenging to hang clothes, but with the space there was it was thought out. The bed was very comfy, although if the person on the inside needed to use the loo would have to clamber over the other person in the bed to get out, again for the size of the room and a one night stay not a real problem. There were a couple things, one was not having any drinking glasses in the room, but then not having to replace these every time, saves money for the hotel. The second is the placement of the smart interface screen for the lights and air conditioning. It is just above where your head rests on the pillow. The panel is touch sensitive and lights up once touched. So most of the night the panel was lighting up when i was moving around. Its not a strong light but enough for it to disturb me in my slumber sleep. The main issue with it was (my fault really) was when I made tea for my partner and I. Luckily I remembered that I had to go downstairs to get our hot drinks. A little bit of inconvenience, but easy enough and a saving on having kettles in each room. On coming back in my partner said that she got the fight of her life. I had left my pillow just propped up against the ‘headboard’ which was the wall the smart panel was in. She pushed it and on doing that the lights in the room came on at full brightness. I was told this was like a rabbit being caught in headlights, startling and confusing. My partner knew i wasn’t in the room and hadn’t heard the door open, so thought for a brief moment there was someone else in there. She then realised there wasn’t and proceed to attempt to turn the lights off. Being in a stage of just being woken by the lights from hell this was no easy task. As good as this panel is, the placement isn’t well thought out. Would I stay here again, yes I would. There are great breakfast places within 5 minutes walk and great WiFi.

Well what can we say , it’s all about location
We booked the Hub Covent Garden following us buying tickets for Hairspray at The Coliseum - without us realising at the time it was just across the street !!
The Hub is perfectly located for central London , 3 mins from Leicester Square tube & Charing Cross railway station / subway .
The National Gallery ( free entry ) at Trafalgar Square is also a 3 mins walk away
The rooms are small but contain everything you need , with a very comfortable bed & a powerful shower .
Check in was 4pm but staff are more than happy to store your bags before you check in and also after checkout - the staff are amazingly helpful & always had a smile on their face .
We only had breakfast on one morning which was continental with a choice of muesli , porridge , toast & pastries , juice & coffee / tea for £5 each
We would definitely recommend this Hub and will without a doubt stay here on our next trip to London

It is strange how individuals can have such different experiences in the same hotel. A couple of really poor reviews recently worried me but I found they couldn’t be further from my experience, they just had bad luck I guess. I have stayed in ‘Hubs’ in other locations and had great experiences and, coming to London Sept 20th/22nd had no hesitation in booking the Hub Covent Garden.
Generally a fantastic location just off Covent Garden and surrounded by lovely pubs and restaurants. Within minutes you can walk to Leicester Square, Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square and the Embankment, (for the water taxi) as well as Covent Garden of course.
Arriving at the Hub there is a clear one way system, the automated check in hubs are all individually screened, there is sanitizer available everywhere. A lovely helpful lady, behind a screen and wearing PPE was available to check me in as I’m not keen on the machines.
The room was as expected, excellent. It was scrupulously clean and as well equipped as I anticipated. There was ample hot water and I found it lovely and quiet despite being on a low level floor.
Breakfast is available and again all served in an adapted, clean, screened restaurant with table service and again, really pleasant, helpful staff in PPE. It’s also great value. (Tea, porridge, toast, £5)
I really believe, for the price, there isn’t a better place to stay in London.
On a general note on the area I found that all the bars and restaurants I used were implementing Covid procedures and doing well in keeping me safe. Most (but sadly not all) people were following the rules.
I thoroughly

The hub is a modern very well equipped and stylish hotel in an amazing location, well worth a visit. The rooms are very clean and modern with superb technology you can set many different lighting levels, connect instantly through the wifi and media panel. There is a good range of food and drink available. Trafalgar square, China Town, Shaftsbury Ave and Covent Garden are 2 mins away.

This hotel is absolutely perfect for seeing London. Location wise it’s a 2 minute walk to Trafalgar Square, 5 mins from the mall and right in the heart of theatre land. Close to Covent garden and Leicester Square tube stations. The hotel is cosy yes but who cares you only sleep in it. They also have a luggage hold so you can start exploring London straight away!.The bathroom is a great size and there is areas to store suitcases etc in the room there is no kettle in the room but downstairs there is free tea and coffee and they do a £5 continental breakfast if you fancy it. Staff are some of the friendliest we have come across. We will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay here last week. The central location is the best part of this hotel because it is a 2 minute walk to Trafalgar Square, a 5 minute walking distance to Covent Garden, China Town and Soho, 10 mins to Piccadilly with Oxford Street just around the corner too. The rooms are compact but comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Giovanni who was extremely attentive to guests needs. This is my 2nd visit to this hotel in 2 months and it has become my fav central London hotel. I have also stayed at other Hub hotels and find them very good value for money.

This was my first stay at a Hub and in general I was very pleased. The location was perfect (about 100 yards from the Covent Garden exit of Leicester Square tube), self-checkin was a breeze, and the room was well isolated from the outside whilst having a window for natural light. The layout is very clever and everything was very clean. I couldn’t get the special hub app to work but I was able to control everything in the room from the touch controls in the bed head. The bathroom was very practical and, again, clean. My only slight niggle was that the surface of the bed is quite high (there’s a large space for suitcases beneath) and so, as a short person, getting my bottom onto the mattress to swing into bed was slightly awkward. That is a very small nibble though.

Superb location for seeing all the sights, small but comfortable double room and good mattress on the bed, clean bathroom with good shower and big, fluffy towels. Was not disturbed by light or sunlight at all (tiny window with no view though) and wasn’t too noisy at night either. Good value breakfast of porridge, yoghurt, croissants and coffee or juice served in the cafe area. Staff were all very friendly, courteous and helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was fairly small and compact with no real view, but I was there to sightsee London with my child and not there to sit in my hotel room, so it suit me fine. Great to be able to store luggage before/after check out. This really helped. I would definitely stay here again, mostly for the excellent location but also as it felt modern, clean, comfortable, safe and welcoming. It was surprisingly quiet as a place to sleep, given its popular location and the number of other guests staying, and the hotel had all I needed for a couple of nights in the big city. Next time, I might try to look around and book somewhere with a bigger ‘family room’ as it was a bit of a tight squeeze sharing such a compact room with my child (I booked last minute) but, overall, I was happy with everything provided by the hotel and it was really just a base for us to sleep for a couple of nights whilst exploring London. I actually would have booked another night here, if they’d not been fully booked out for the week already! I would definitely stay at a Premier Inn (Hub) hotel (including this one) again! Thank you!

We stayed here over the weekend, and it is the best value hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
As the other reviews have already stated, it’s within walking distance of Westminster, Covent Garden and Theatreland, and is literally 2 mins from the St James Park tube station.
The rooms are modern, clean and have everything you need. The smart TV in the room has iPlayer and various other apps, with the option of connecting your mobile.
Lighting can be turned up and down on the control panel by the bed. The shower is a ‘rainforest’ style with a large overhead fitting with powerful water pressure.
The bar downstairs is small, but is a nice relaxing space. We had a drink at night in there, and also had breakfast which I would highly recommend for a fiver each. Amazing value. Thanks to the female member of staff on Sunday morning who was very helpful and lovely.
All in all I think you’d struggle to find a better hotel on budget, I would 100% stay here again.

Not really necessary! The rooms are adequate and have all you need to change sleep shower etc…save the cash. No one goes to just sit in the room
Why not ask the hotel for a definitive answer.
Yes, you can arrive early and they will hold your bags until you return or check in later. They also offer this service on the morning you depart. They mention a small donation to charity if you wish to do so. That’s up to you.
Works perfectly. A great bonus and very helpful service.
