We chose the hotel for its location for a family trip to London. It was approx 5 min walk to Holburn tube which had great links and an easy 20 min walk to Covent Garden (with a slow 7 year old!)
There was plenty of choice for breakfast for kids and adults alike which set us up for the day and kids are free with paying adults. We didn’t have any other meals there as we were out and about but as the restaurant is in the basement it wasn’t the most appealing environment and no windows made it feel quite dark, not an issue for breakfast but may bother some people.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and rooms were clean and offered a decent bed for both our kids as oppose to them having to share a camp bed as on offer elsewhere. Shower was powerful and hot morning and night and air con was welcome during the hot weather when we stayed. No fancy view but we just wanted a simple room for the night that was a reasonable price (for London!)
Overall it was a great location for exploring London with kids and I would stay again if ever visiting.

God I love PE. Reliable, clean, convenient, predictable, always makes a business trip less stressful. This one was no exception. I was only there for one night, but I slept really well and was undisturbed by traffic/street noise. Lovely breakfast too. And fab location. My colleagues all stayed too and were very happy. The guy on reception was so friendly. The self service seems pointless though, wherever you go, they always seem to be broken!

I stayed here for 2 nights in May 2024, with my niece. We had a family room which was clean and quiet. The hotel itself is in an excellent location - a short bus journey from Euston station, and lots of buses going to the West End stop very close by. We didn't have breakfast or eat there so can't comment on the quality of the food, however the room was serviced adequately when requested. I would definitely consider staying here again.

We have stayed here a few times because it’s in a quiet location but very accessible on the central line. The staff are helpful and breakfast is great but our latest visit is a bit of a joke! On arrival we had no clean towels in the room - we checked in at 4 and had to wait until 9pm for towels. You have to request at reception if you want the room cleaning which I’m not bothered about but the toilet roll seems to be a sacred item that is very illusive. My wife was going to buy 2 rolls from boots round the corner but if we are paying £270 per night I would expect the basics. It would seem that Premier Inn are trying to reduce costs which is impacting their level of service

This was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. I have always trusted Premier Inn and stay very regularly; you come to expect a certain standard of cleanliness, safety and service with the brand. On arrival, I noticed mould around the window and a damp smell in the room. (Photos show the mould). It was awful. I went straight to reception but they couldn’t do anything as the hotel was full. I was offered a free breakfast as compensation but I felt the issue could not be solved with a free breakfast and didn’t want them to think that was sufficient recompense. I had also made other plans for breakfast. The receptionist said we could move rooms the following day but we would have to pack our bags first thing and leave them in reception. As we had valuables and electronics, I didn’t want to do this either, as we were out for the whole day and evening. The photo attached shows how bags are stored in the reception area so you can see why I chose not to take this option. Bags were left on show and in view of the street outside with open access through the main doors. No staff were on reception or in the lobby on a very regular basis during our stay so bags are simply left unattended and not securely stored. I complained via the website on my return and was given a £63 refund against a total cost of £265. To me, this is unacceptable and in no way reflects the level of discomfort and uncleanliness we encountered. It completely spoilt our stay. I will never stay in a Premier Inn again.

The location - We felt relatively safe in the area (we’re non-city folk but visit London frequently). It’s around a 5 minute walk from Holborn tube station and can easily walk to the musicals, Covent Garden etc in 10/15 mins. Plenty of shops, cafes etc nearby.
The bed - Super comfortable and the purple mood light was a nice touch.
The staff - The member of staff at check in were friendly and efficient. We were able to check in 15 minutes early which helped massively as had tickets for a show starting at 4pm.
The cons:
It is run down in places and I feel even despite the location, the room didn’t reflect the cost we paid for it.
The sink was blocked/ plug broken/ stuck down so ended up washing hands etc in the bath. The sofa bed’s sheet was marked/ stained and wasn’t very comfortable. The carpets were dirty and damaged. The bath panel was water damaged and tiles could really use a freshen up.
All in all, for a place to lay your head for a night, this hotel was okay, but definitely not worth the price we paid for it.

The staff is the worst ever. Impolite, rude, without kindness. At the check in none told us how it works with the cleaning, and for the 24th december we didn't have the cleaning. Than on december 25th there was no cleaning service "it's christmas" they said, even if we paid for christmas as for the other day, and if you decide to open on christmas day you should offer all the services, or just close your hotel (and should be better because it's awful) . The girl that worked on december 24th was very rude as all the others. The staff is a joke. Very very very bad experience, awful, i don't have any other words to explain. None tried to help us or give us a nice stay.

On arrival all three check in screens were faulty and there was no one on reception. After 5 minutes and a member of staff walking past without saying anything, we were then checked in by another member of staff.
The room was very small for a family of 4 with two small kids and was basic with no fridge, safe. On the morning of day three we asked at reception for the towels to be changed and room tidied but returned at 4pm to find the room had not been touched.
No issues with the staff on site who were all doing their best but the hotel seemed a bit unorganised

Stayed at the Premier Inn Holborn for 2 nights as we were in London to see a show. The rooms were a bit tired in need of a touch up, the room was very warm and windows did not open so no fresh air. Our particular room was next to the lifts so we had noise from the lifts everytime they were in use. We did not use the restaurant or bar as it was in the basement with no windows or outlook and felt a bit gloomy. Location was really good,a few minutes walk to Holborn underground or if you felt like walking you could get to Covent Garden in 25 minutes or Piccadilly in about half an hour. On checkout we were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room and have a wander prior to collecting luggage for our trip home. Overall it served it's purpose, a bit pricey but I guess all London hotels are.

We've stayed in quite a few Premier Inns and this one lived up to the standard we expect from our go-to hotel chain. Check-in was quiet and easy (I got there at about 4.30-5pm on a Friday) and the reception staff were friendly. The shower was good, the room was clean and in good condition. It was very warm in the night so we had to put the air conditioning on but it was fine after that. The bed was comfy, TV was fine. The only snag during the stay was that one of the lifts was out of order and in the morning the other one was very slow getting to us on the sixth floor - it would have been a lot quicker to nip down the stairs. We could also hear the lift from our room (room 602) humming up and down but it wasn't disruptive at all so I don't think that's anything to worry about. Another tiny thing I notice in all Premier Inns is that the Kimberly Clark single-sheet toilet paper dispenser feels out of place in the bathroom as it's the kind of thing you see in a public toilet - a normal toilet roll holder would be much nicer. All in all, a great one-night stay in London and I'd definitely stay here again.

Yes. I have never been in any Premier Inn room that doesn't have windows. Some of the Hub types might have windowless rooms, but not the normal premier types like Holborn.
There are more places to choose from in the London area.
