Stayed here with my husband, terrible. It was cheap, should have sent the bells ringing. We arrived early and staff were ok with that and said the room was ready. We were in the cellar near the breakfast room. No lift and narrow stairs. Opened the door and shock, they had a huge rat trap next to the bed and...

Dirty tiny rooms right beside the tube line. Not interested in any refund, crap customer service, staff, manager and boss that don't care. My room has two completely broken windows. The hotel as a whole looks like it hasn't been maintained or renovated since the 1960's. never again

We stayed here for 2 nights, we had room no 1 which was on the lower floor and the train line ran extremely close to the bedroom, every time a train went past which was...every minute... it was so loud and would bang as it hit the line so vibrated through the wall even more! The room was compact and...

The staff is always ready to help, specially Mussy, very helpfully guy! He helped us to get an adapter for we can charge the batteries of our devices and he fixed the TV in our bedroom on the second day. The hotel is very good if you are there to know the city. It is just 1 minute walking to...

Terrible experience. Rude staff, uncomfortable room. Housekeeping just barged in. Reception staff brusque and unhelpful. Took extra unauthorised charges from my card. Far better economical options elsewhere.

stayed here for one night and we were just looking for a cheap option. Got given one of the rooms that overlooks Earls Court tube line and trains were passing every 60 seconds (almost 24 hours) which was very noisy. Seems like a crazy place to set up a hotel. Staff seemed quite friendly on the few interactions we had...

Tiny room, dirty moquette, unprofessional staff. Noisy room with broken window! trains run just under your room! They ask you for money if you want to leave the luggage for just a few hours. They don t allow visitors so if you want to help your relatives with luggage you can't!!!! I won't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!...

Went here after having being in London a few weeks prior to this and we stayed at the Anwar House which is on the next street and for the same price the Anwar House was so much better. We stayed in room 30 which is facing the train tracks and so every 2 minutes a train goes past which is...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
