Close to Gloucester Road station, well decorated, comfortable and a good amount of space for London. Booked via the Qantas website. Near the Victoria and Albert museum so able to wander back for a second visit. Also near the Natural History Museum. Only downside was that as we had a lower ground apartment we couldn't open the windows. We spent...

I stayed here with my husband for 2 weeks when we first moved to London. We had a 1 bedroom apartment on the basement level - I was initially a bit unimpressed to have been in the basement instead of one of the lovely high-ceilinged rooms on the website, but I wasn't footing the bill so didn't bother saying anything....

This was our third visit to this hotel and we were not disappointed. The staff gave us a warm welcome and we got our room even though we arrived early. We had an apt with one bedroom and a sofa bed in the sitting room. Our son and grandson had the sofabed, and the two of us got the bedroom...

This is my second visit to this serviced apt. The first visit was very impressed. We've got a large 2 BR Apt (#217) for 5 ppl (4 adults and 1 child) with 2 bathroom and everything was perfect. So, we decided to return to this place again. However, the second time experience is terrible. Our 2 BR apt (#218) is...

Recently my wife and I spent six delightful days in London that involved 5 nights at the Fraser Suites Queens Gate. We were assigned executive suite # 401. It was a well appointed room quite in keeping with the descriptions you find in the other reviews and on the web site. I work in London, but my company contractually houses...

We checked in on a Sunday early afternoon. It was just me and my 16yo daughter in London for 5 days before meeting up with my husband in Ireland. We wanted a safe neighbourhood, close to the tube station and to some attractions. The Good: - We were able to get into our 1st floor room before the official check-in...

This is my 2nd time staying here. The 1st visit went by without any issue. It is a comfortable, nice place and a pleasant stay... IF nothing goes wrong. My 2nd stay was horrible. I have traveled all over the world for business and leisure and the staff here is by far the rudest I have ever encountered. Beware. If...

I stayed here on business, but I wanted to be close to shopping sites (like Harrod's). The venue was absolutely wonderful; it felt like I was in an apartment in the upper East side of New York. It was nice to have a fridge and kitchen complete with wine glasses, even if I didn't have time to use them! The...

We spent 16 nights in a one bedroom apartment, great location with the tube close by and the most amazing museums 5 minute walk. The staff where fabulous very friendly and we were able to check in early, which after a 24 hour flight was amazing. Nothing was to much trouble for the front desk staff especially Ralph. Would stay...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
