We were in London for an evening cruise down the Thames on the Paddle Steamer Waverley. Chose this Premier Inn for its proximity to Tower Pier, where the Steamer berths. Nice friendly welcome on checking in. Given a quiet double room on the 5th (top floor) which was comfortable, and had a pleasant view. After a long day walking in...

Staying for 5 nights, I got a room at the top of the hotel (504) away from the lifts and overlooking the church next door. Extremely quiet hotel room for central London. You could hear the Docklands Light Railway trundle by, but it wasn't excessive at all. Have stayed in more expensive London hotels and experienced virtually no sleep due...

Just round the corner from the Tower of London - really handy to get to Tower Bridge and London Bridge. Quietest Premier Inn we've ever stayed in. Bit weird going to basement for breakfast, but usual great selection. Rooms are very spacious.

5 Min walk to Tower Hill and Tower Gateway giving easy access to tubes and DLR not to mention the always impressive Tower of London and Tower Bridge. If you fancy something different for breakfast The Minories is just two minutes walk away as is a Wetherspoons pub. Must have got a great deal as it was only £69 for...

We stayed at Tower inn premier inn on business for several nights whilst working at the Excel. Perfect for the DLR train line to The excel, and walking distance to tower bridge and some fabulous restaurants and bars close by. The staff here were consistent with all premier inns I have stayed in, excellent, especially the reception staff and restaurant...

This hotel is ideally located for sightseeing in London being only five minutes walk from the tower of London. It is VERY clean and presentable. The bed was superb, the bathroom immaculate with a great shower and all the facilities you need for a long weekend. The staff, however are it's biggest asset, they are friendly, helpful and efficient. This...

I always book at this hotel due to its location in the city, in a quite area but close to tower hill tube (circle and district) and the DLR so handy for london city airport. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfy. (just try to avoid the basement rooms near the restaurant as you...

Had one night there when attending a conference in the area. It's a 5-10 min walk from tower hill tube station. Room was large for London, though a rather odd shape and lay out. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom only had a shower unit (no bath) but that wasn't a problem for me. I had breakfast the...

Very convenient hotel for all areas near the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, good facilities and only a short walk to bus routes and the underground. No car parking facilities apparent but not required this visit.

Stayed two nights, ideal location, Tower Hlll underground 5 mins walk, DLR 5 mins walk. Hotel was great. Friendly and helpful staff on reception. Small bar and a Costa Coffee shop. we didn't book breakfast so can't comment on that. Room adequate, we were at back of hotel on 3rd floor, no noise during the night, comfy bed with choice...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
