I just wanted a bed for the night not far from St Pancras as I had an early Eurostar to catch. Its basic and I had a shared bathroom/toilet but for I night that wasn't an issue, I was on my way to a 4 star hotel in Belgium. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and the bed and...

Great to be welcomed by friendly staff and led to your room. Its a simple place with a a warren of rooms and has a charm unique to itself. Everything is there that you need and the location could not be better for central London.

Incredibly friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Great location for both St Pancras and Bloomsbury/Soho. Surprisingly quiet at night given its location. Great for cycling to and from as Tavistock Place has separated cycle lanes in both directions.

I chose this hotel because it was pricier than my previous hotel visits in this area, so expected better. Not quite so. My twin room was small (expected). I was shown to my room which was out the reception door, onto the street, walked past four front doors & came to this unit block. A male staff member showed me...

Thanks for your review - it does sound like you had quite a few mix ups with the housekeeping. Our Housekeeper assures me that this is very irregular, so I will be keeping an eye on this, thank you for bringing it to my attention. It does occasionally happen that when we're full the night before not all our rooms...

This was my third visit to St Athans. The charm of this accommodation is that it is privately owned with competent staff, and the locked front door is supervised 24/7. It is very central within walking distance to Russell Square Underground, Kings Cross and St Pancras Station. The area seems safe to walk in, there is a shopping centre within...

I've been staying at the St Athans since January 1979, so I've got a sentimental bias, but it's been my go-to place ever since. The basic rooms are exactly that: bed(s), basin, and an armoire but no table or chairs; lav and showers are a half-flight up/downstairs. There's no lift and the floors creak, but it's clean and in a...

Just about any hotel or b&b nowadays has a kettle and TV in the rooms, sadly when I stayed two nights recently my room had neither. I don't want to hear the excuse that there is a cafe downstairs. Why should a person have to leave there room and pay for a coffee or tea on top of what they...

Thanks for your review - for although it doesn't make great reading for us to hear that you would have preferred more in your room, it does let guests know about the simplicity of our hotel. Our aim is to provide friendly, clean & simple accommodation in central London - so in order to keep our prices down we don't...

The bathrooms were acceptable and the room was quite charming. The location is perfect. The room was tidied daily as well as the bathroom (you can't expect too much from it as it was shared, though). Recommended.

Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum.
