Now firstly. The rooms are utterly beautiful; however housekeeping should pay a little more attention to the smaller things. The customer service one expects in a five star hotel is of a fabulous level. This is not true of the Grange. I've had better service in a Premier Inn. The staff seem disinterested and almost as if your presence is...

It's 25.12.14 and we've just had a really average Xmas dinner\buffet. Food had been obviously lying out and as a result had dried out, the staff were a curious mixture of helpful and feckless but the biggest surprise came with the invasion of a huge family of Irish travellers who had treated themselves to Xmas in a 5* hotel.Good for...

Normally a city slicker hotel during the week but on Christmas Eve transformed into a multiple national holiday hotel. With stunning views of St Paul's literally 100 yds away this is a well located hotel for this part of London. Mixed experience with my wife arriving ahead and over the course of an hour or so had 6 visits from...

Stayed here for one night, between a late dinner and work the next morning, and was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel! We only really used the room, none of the other facilities but the public areas are clean, and very light and airy. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. Also very clean. The bed was excellent, just...

Stayed at the Grange St. Pauls for the Saturday night prior to Christmas. Check in was fine, room was available at 2pm but not earlier. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. I requested a room at the front of the hotel when I booked and I did get one as requested. The pool/leisure area in the basement is...

Certainly not like my previous London hotel experiences, the rooms are quite spacious. They are clean and comfortable. The hotel is well located and the included breakfast excellent. Like the free wifi. My only complaints - no cell phone coverage anywhere I went within the hotel, poor room lighting (the worst I have experienced in a long time) and though...

Super location, rooms very good. Room service excellent. The buffet food was OK, nothing special. I had a colleague who didn't stay the evening before over for breakfast one morning. We were charged £23 for a rather poor buffet breakfast .That left a our taste in my mouth as the room rate was, quite expensive. £23 for coffee, fried egg...

I love staying at The Grange. I like to stay in the Annexe rather than the main hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean with air conditioning that really does make a difference. Coming from Scotland I find hotel rooms in London far too hot but the aircon here allows you to set the room to a nice chill without...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
