Central and ideal for the City; facilities good and staff prompt and courteous. Rooms to a high standard, very comfortable and more spacious than many hotels. Unfortunately my night was interrupted by a smoker setting off the fire alarm, at 3.45 am. Quite why this filthy habit is remotely acceptable or tolerated escapes me; it's time hotels prevented smoking in,...

Was upgraded to a suite, these are a short walk from main hotel, it had some cool gadgets (tablet to control lights, etc) but no external window. Downgraded myself and really enjoyed the 'standard' room - it was very spacious with a nice bathroom. Great service throughout and breakfast was excellent - the spa was decent too, although a little...

This hotel had the potential to be great, good location, and good building - but TERRIBLE management and this leads to terrible service. I had my 400 person wedding reception here in 2012 - and this was nearly a disaster if it wasn't for us organising and making sure it went smooth. We went back the following year to mark...

Good location, very good entrance and friendly helpful staff. The bathroom the bathroom could do with a revamp but it was clean and tidy had a bath and separate shower. The biggest thing to let the room down was the water pressure because it was so low the shower was rubbish yet it was a multiple head shower so should...

Beautiful modern hotel with decent sized rooms. My room was very comfortable and quiet although the view from the window was of the lobby which was rather unusual. The cherry on top were the pool and spa. It's big and has everything you need to distress after a long day of travel and work.

Stayed in the hotel on a business trip , fantastic location great spacious rooms with a great gym. Also the ease of getting from London City airport to the hotel was an added bonus. Will stay here again hopefully for leisure!

the hotel its self was beautiful the room was big and amazing. not that far from the train station and the shopping centre you have loads of options to eat or just jump on the underground and go explore the rest of London . the only down was having to wait 15 minutes to get served at the bar

I really like this hotel in London and I have stayed in it before. It is very modern and right next to St Pauls Cathedral which has to be one of the nicest sights in London. It is about one hour on the tube to London Heathrow from the nearest tube stop Mansion House with only one change. The bedrooms...

I travelled with a friend and stayed at the Grange for two nights. The room was lovely with two double beds, flat screen tv and free wifi. Robes and slippers were also provided. We were disappointed the first night as we was near the lift and could hear it all night long. We swapped rooms the next day. I did...

Enjoyed a night in London. Stayed in one of the apartments, 1min walk from the main hotel. Good hotel, service etc. Continental breakfast with our booking which was good. We did not try the spa services, but will be trying if we return.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
