We liked the hotel. The night portier was very helpful and friendly, the day portiers seemed to be bored and didn't hardly look up when we passed the reception! The breakfast was great! The room was also great. If you wanted to take a shower you were lucky if the water pressure was good at that moment. Bring some shower... More

The hotel was very clean and warm. The room was a good size with plenty of sockets USB ports and storage. The room I was in had tea and coffee making facilities and a full size fridge. Free bottles of water as well. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. There were also shampoo etc. available to use.... More

The location of the hotel is pretty good. A few blocks to the North of selfridges (15 min walk or so) and 5 min walk to Baker st tube - so good for Madame Tussaud's etc. The hotel is fairly modern but basic. On arrival we were sent to our room, but it wasn't ready and the cleaners were in.... More

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago, rooms were pleasant. Notified reception that bulbs needed changing in bathroom and bedroom and we were assured it would be attended to immediately ....it wasn't. Went down for breakfast at 9.45am on Sunday (finishes at 10am) and there was hardly anything left and what was left was cold. Sent email detailing all this... More

Visited with the wife and her parents for 1 week. Booked 2 superior rooms. The first room we was given was tiny and nothing like our parents room (could have managed for a few nights, but not a full week). Immediately complained to the receptionist who apologised and moved us to a front room next door and similar to our... More

We were coming back to London for one more additional night and decided to save a little money with a more "affordable" hotel since it was just one night. When we walked in the entrance we had "concerns" when we saw the checkin area. The girl at the counter was very nice. We decided to walk up the stairs as... More

Lovely warm smiles from very well presented young ladies made me & my daughter feel welcomed immediately. Running my own pub I can be very critical of others but there was not a lot to criticise! The room was very clean, there was tea, coffee & free bottles of water too! The use of a free mobile phone, air con,... More

We arrived at 10pm after booking this hotel on a booking site at the cheapest price which was £103.50 including breakfast. We wanted a one night stay. On the booking site the hotel was described as a best seller and had good reviews. 'Luxury at a bargain price'. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming but when we got to... More

Staff very friendly but unfortunately the breakfast let them down as unbeknown to us it was an intercontinental buffet, which doesn't cater for everyone. The tea facilities were poor with a cracked mug, 3 tea bags for 2 people and 2 milks! On a positive note though the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The hotel was clean and room was nice the only down fall was there was allot of lighting coming threw the curtains as they wasn't very thick and was on a main road so was quite noisy. The lift is also very small, staff was very friendly and breakfast was nice and lots of options.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
