We have stayed here a number of times over the past 2-3 years and never been disappointed. The staff at reception are always very friendly and helpful - if they cannot check you in early, they will keep your bags for you. The rooms are stylish and comfortable with all mod cons, HUGE beds and sleek bathrooms with Elemis complimentary...

I stayed here for 1 night with my sister. As I booked directly with the hotel I received a voucher for £10 to spend during the stay. We paid £118.80 room only, which was 20p less than the Premier Inn my sister had booked at first (and swiftly cancelled). I used the live chat service before booking, a girl called...

Hard to fault the hotel clean modern stylish , rooms were great only had a small window which looked onto office blocks behind the hotel which made the room dark though . Reception staff were great and there were no problems at check in which was nice and swift .Nearest tube station Tower Hill was closed for repair work so...

Very smart, clean hotel with excellent service. Rooms aren't massive but look very swish, food is very good indeed and the Tower of London is within a few minutes' walk. One downside - when the occupants of the neighbouring rooms wish to organise their wardrobe, you will know about it. On the whole, though, a very good stay; this is...

Hotel is smart and clean. Rooms are simple, functional and attractive. Bathrooms are nice, really wish I'd had more time on arrival to use the walk in shower. They have a good communal area on the ground floor for meeting up with friends, or having a quiet drink in the evening. Staff helpful. Continental breakfast was comprehensive Location was good...

Hotel with good standard and good location in the city. Conveniente to have walkingdistance to meetings. The area is quiet in the evenings, very little people around after office-hours. Rooms at Apex are clean and of good standard.

The service was of great quality. I like the room and the location was great.. However, given that I am a regaular client, I wish i had a bigger room. hope that next time around that will be the case.

I have been staying at the Apex for quite some time, my view is that this is the best hotel i've found in London. The rooms are big and comfortable, the food is excellent but most importantly the staff are amazing, friendly and polite and ruthlessly efficient but always discreet There is no better hotel in the area and while...

I took my girlfriend away for the weekend in London just after Valentine's day. After some research I found a good deal here and it was well rated by past visitors so I thought I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed, we arrived an hour early for check in and figured we'd at least be able to leave...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
