The exterior of this hotel is a lot nicer than the interior. We found that inside it was quite old and run down, the carpets were frayed at the edges and could do with replacing and some of the walls were stained or marked and could do with a few coats of paint. There is also no elevator, which is...

This is one of the less enjoyable hotel stays I have had. A) arrived late in the evening and not evem a smile from the receptionist. B) got into the room and no kettle C) had a shower and in nees of serious regroutting ( i appreciate hotel going through refurbishment) and then continuously dripped throughout the night. D) very...

The room is very clean, breakfast is good. The staff name Valotia is very helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. Love this hotel. I had a excellent 12 days stay. Walking distance to Malaysia Hall, shopping streets nearby, and Hyde Park too.

The place could clearly do with some TLC, but is by no means dirty or falling apart. An odd layout but simple enough with nice bedding and TV in the rooms, in a great, central location. Good value for money for that alone. Whilst I was there they were having problems with the internet (with BT having to come) and...

I stayed at this hotel with my teenage daughter over night on a visit to London. I was really impressed with the service we received. (We arrived early and I asked if they could look after our bags until we could book in). They found us a room that was ready so we were able to book in early. The...

I stay for 2 days. The hotel isn't so comfortable (small rooms, no elevator, only one plug in the room) but the price is very good! Includes breakfast, WiFi, flat TV, private bathroom, 24 hour reception. The location is perfect. It is in the center only 150 meters from metro station, and near there are a lot of shops (restaurants,...

I was really nervous to stay at this hotel as I had seen a lot of awful reviews. I think I was very luck with my room. We had 1 bunk bed, 1 double bed & a really nice shower! Hotel looks a bit run down in the lobby and along the corridors. Staff were very friendly. Also location was...

The location of the hotel was the only good thing about it, the rest of the hotel was terrible. The rooms are tiny, with a weird smell and mould growing on the walls, ceilings and on the shower cubicle. The pillows were dirty with yellow stains over them forcing us to cover them in our jackets. The bathroom was so...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
