I strongly recommend staying at the Jesmond. The rooms are clean and generous with comfortable beds. It is centrally located and the Beynon's and their staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, but it is only a short walk to everything Soho has to offer as well as a couple different Tube lines...

Overall, the Jesmond was a great hotel for the affordable price. The included full English breakfast was made to order and delicious. We stayed at the hotel for 10 days, so it might have been nice to have a variety in our choices, such as pancakes or waffles or different types of cereals. We stayed in the family room, with...

I wholeheartedly recommend the Jesmond Hotel. My daughter and I stayed for three nights on a quick trip to London. I had been looking for a reasonably priced offering within walking distance of the theatre district. This, if you have been pricing London hotels, is not so easy to find. The Jesmond perfectly fit the bill, offering a range of...

7 nights, single en-suite room. This B&B is ideal if you want somewhere inexpensive to sleep, leave your luggage and have breakfast while on a tourism visit to London. The staff are helpful, it serves a freshly cooked English breakfast and there is a free internet PC in the guest lounge for people who don’t travel with a device. It...

We (family of 4, including 2 teenagers) stayed 3 nights. We had a Quad room and it was crowded; the room might have been better for a family with smaller children, but it was a bit tight for us. Location was pretty good; the hotel is either walkable to downtown or within 5 minutes walk of several Tube stops. Our...

We had a lovely time in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and took care for all our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfasts were rich and tasty. The location great, a quiet neighborhood, only a few minutes walk from the underground station or if you prefer, a 10 min walk from Covent Garden and the Soho.

Me, my husband and 3 kids spent 6 nights in the hotel, July 23-29. We were warmed welcomed by Mrs Beynon and were absolutly well served in all and every ways. There is no doubt that, when we'll go again to London Jesmond will be our first choice. The room was confortable and clean, the breakfast was beyond our expectations...

My wife and I spent 5 nights in late July (July 13-17) at the Jesmond Hotel while touring England/Wales. The Hotel is an attractive property located among pretty Georgian townhouses (now largely converted into small hotels) located in Bloomsbury, surrounded by the University of London and very close (a few blocks) from the British Museum and the British Library. The...

Hello “John S”, Thank you for taking the time to post such a detailed review and for your kind comments regarding our staff and hotel. I am very sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding the room allocation upon your arrival. The room you were originally allocated during your reservation process nine months ago was indeed on the second floor...

The Jesmond Hotel is in Bloomsbury, near the British Museum - a great central London location. The room was tiny - just a bit bigger than a railway carriage - but everything worked and it had things like cotton sheets and windows that opened, and a modern clean bathroom (also tiny). There's a garden at the back. The service was...

We were welcomed by our friendly, helpful host who carried our cases upstairs for us. Our room was spotlessly clean and everything well maintained. Quite big enough for a couple. Breakfast was good and again friendly ladies serving who were eager to please. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and can recommend the Jesmond for anyone...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
