Close to underground station and it is literally less than one minute from Algate East station. The room is clean and tidy but only have one soap as amenity.remember to bring slipper, toothbrush, tooth paste, etc. Or else, stuff can be purchased from a nearby local store which is again one minute from the hotel. Restaurant in the hotel is good... Try...

The bedroom was comfortable but in the takeoff path of London City Airport so sleeping after 6.00am was impossible. Service in the bar area was appalling and clearly the staff did not understand the meaning of customer service or prepared for the fact that the hotel was full with visitors and exhibitors from the Hotelympia at Excel. The room charge...

We booked this hotel totally for it's location. Ibis-chain is familiar to we from other parts of Europe, so I thought I knew what to expect. 1st of all; the rooms were surprisingly cosy and warm (this is London, Guys!), no complaints about that. Our room was facing to the courtyard, so it was nice and calm to sleep. Room...

The hotel is a fair 3 star hotel. Clean, a small draft from the windows, instant coffee at the room, a fine but plastic like bathroom, a bar and restaurant makes it a fair 3 star. Aldgate east tube station is 30 m away, London Liverpool Street station is approximately a 10-15 minutes walk away. The hotel is situated 50...

Stayed one night and used the Ibis for (1) convenience and (2) the Accor reputation. Friendly check in staff, nice atmosphere in the bar and the restaurant (didn't eat there) Rooms aren't that special (but they are clean) and the beds were very comfy. Spotless bathroom. All in all the room was perfectly fine. We didn't have a 'view' but...

This hotel is located less than a couple of minutes walk away from East Algate tube station, so you are well located for central London. Spitalfields market is only a 15 min walk too, with some good food options. Breakfast was a continental buffet with lots of variety. There was a half price breakfast offer when we booked, and it...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
