Detailed Reviews
Myself and daughter stayed for 2 nights. Room was perfect size, spotless and super quiet (first night was the England game and thought we might hear celebrations ha) didn’t hear a peep - I also loved that the hotel had the football showing on a projector and had set the foyer up and decorated (although we weren’t team England) I thought it was a really nice touch - well done England ha moving on, the staff couldn’t be more helpful and kind and allowed us to keep our room late for £10. Aldgate East and Aldgate underground stations are literally mins away which was so handy for travelling around london. I was sad to leave. Thank you all staff we hope to visit again soon

Great hotel, lovely staff.Reception very efficient. Early check in was £10 well worth it not to carry cases around. Rooms spacious and had everything we needed. Comfy beds, lovely towels. Kettle and complimentary drinks were appreciated. Booked a late checkout £10 till 5pm so we cud leave bags all day and look around Shoreditch then pick up bags straight on tube and back to station. Location to Spittalfields 5 mins.Brick Lane 10 mins. Fab cafe around the corner Noras cafe amazing breakfast.

We were put into this hotel after ours mysteriously closed the night before we were due to visit.
We were in room 105 which was an internal room which faced out onto a courtyard type of thing which meant that we didn’t get much if any external noise.
We didn’t get fresh towels over the 3 days we were there but the room itself was very clean and spacious!
The room got very hot and the air con was a god send, but it was very noisy! The TV worked fine except we couldn’t connect our devices to it even though it said you could so we weren’t able to watch a movie and had to stick to watching normal TV.
On our checkout day we asked if we could leave our luggage and was told it wouldn’t be possible as they don’t have a luggage store, but told us that we could pay an extra £10 to keep our room until 5pm. In the end we paid it as it worked out cheaper than using a left luggage at the station, but I couldn’t see why our original hotel (Ibis Budget Whitechapel) had a luggage store but this one didn’t? Seemed like a money making operation to me.
Other than that, decent location, good tube services, 2 mins walk to the hotel from Aldgate East. Tesco Express downstairs to get necessities if needed.

we stayed at london ibis Shoreditch for one night over the jubilee week. check in was very easy and simple, and we found our room easily. however, once entering our room, we found a lot of faults. first of all, we found a long brown hair on our bathroom pod door, as well as a pubic hair on our toilet seat (we had not used this toilet since arriving). we then discovered that there were coffee stains all on the curtains, which is not a very appealing look. due to this, we felt that the room was not to the best of it’s hygiene, so off we went to the shops to buy our own pillowcases, blankets and some disinfectant spray to make us feel safer. when we got back from the shop, we went downstairs into the lounge/eating area, we found this quite nice and relaxing, with comfy sofas and a good selection of beverages. however. we ordered a domino’s for our tea, and we ate it in our hotel room. once finishing, we realised that our room only contains two small bins which are the size of a plant pot, funnily enough, you cannot fit pizza boxes in plant pots. the beds are also very small, me and my friend stayed the night so we asked for two single beds, but they were very narrow and it was hard to get comfortable without feeling like you’re going to fall off.

Staff are friendly. Room was quiet. Decent beer in the bar, for hotel standards. That's the positive really. The room was cold and AC on heat all evening didn't improve it much. Bathrooms are plastic pods, like a caravan crashed in the corner of your room. Wardrobe is like the kids section of IKEA. Not sure where all the positive reviews become from, it's a box, with a plastic bathroom and a telly on the wall.. if that's all it takes to get 5* then the bar is set low...
Pizza in the restaurant was slightly burnt underneath and loaded with too much chewy cheese on top of a biscuit crust.

Great location within minutes walk to train station. Tesco express next door which is handy.
Average room, with very small ensuite (made mostly of plastic, shower only.)
I was impressed that we weren't disturbed by any noise, what with its location.
You can't seem to control the rooms temperature although it has an air con unit / temperature dial. There's a note next to it saying you can ask for a fan or heater at reception.
We used a BuyAGift voucher (£89)which was a good deal, I'm not sure I would have paid the £233 other websites were showing, this was a week day stay.
The overall rating was bumped up by the amazing buffet breakfast. Continental, hot English breakfast, and a variety of hot & cold drinks.

Going to a concert at the Barbican Centre, London on the 20.02.2020, I needed to stay in London overnight. I found this IBIS to be reasonably priced, clean, modern with the facilities I would like. Of course being a hotel of a lower price, I worried at first. But I need not have worried. On arriving there were staff there to greet me, and at all times they were friendly and helpful even calling a taxi for me when I needed one. There were lifts up to the rooms which were secure with the desired facilities. The hotel was spotlessly clean. There was a bar downstairs so that friends and I were able to have a drink together after arriving back at the hotel late after the concert. In the morning I had breakfast, which consisted of a large variety of foods. More than I could have eaten. Certainly I cannot find anything to complain about this hotel. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to stay in that area.

Stayed in a standard room with 1 double and 1 single/pull out bed. Room was compact but was fine for the 3 nights my children and I stayed. Room had everything needed, coffee, iron, hairdryer and a good size TV. Room (238) was street facing but no issue with noise at all. Bed was really comfy so we all had great nights sleep which was needed after long days exploring. Shower was decent and although bathroom would steam up within minutes after use would be normal again. The only issue was that there was no plug where the coffee making facilities were so I had to put the kettle on the floor in front of the mirror. Minor inconvenience and not sure whether that was an issue because furniture was moved to accommodate the additional bed?!
Location was excellent. Right next to the station which is on the District and Hammersmith line. So perfect for those wanting to explore London. Quite a few sites within walking distance also.
I was also able to check out late for £10 which meant our mini holiday lasted longer without stressing about our luggage. Can't fault the staff either who were helpful and polite. All in all for the price, location, amenities etc it was perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay there again if the price was similar to what I paid.

Perfectly located for my work trip . Located near Aldgate station and quick and easy check in / out.
Rooms have everything you need and adapter / phone charger next to the bed
Richard was helpful on arrival with a early check in as we arrived early.

+1
First of all the location is great! The neighborhood is so cool, and the tube is literally under the hotel. There is also a small supermarket and a number of small restaurants. The room is small but not tiny, beds were ok and the air conditioning was good. However it was not totally clean, from hair in the shower to old disgusting chocolate on the spoons in our room. The cleaning lady also made it a habit to knock on our door every morning and wake us up early so she can “clean” it. So rude!!!!
The rest of the staff were very very nice and helpful, so just take her out and you’re fine…
Breakfast was ok, I would love to get some fresh vegetables, but it’s England, so we made it on cooked full English.
If you are on a budget- it’s a nice hotel , not my first choice, but definitely ok .

No, but it’s very close to a Aldgate East tube station, we found we could get everywhere we needed using the tubes and trains.
No, it's the centre of London. I would not recommend you bring car.
Yes, just ask at the reception when you check out. We used it when we stayed there.
I believe every room has its own bathroom.
You need to pay for early and late check in/out in order to leave your bags safely. Unfortunately late check out can’t be booked in advance, you need to ask when you check in, I believe. We requested early check in when we made the booking so we could drop our luggage and go off for the day. We were then able to secure one room as late check out so we could do the same on our last day. There was a £10 fee I think?
