It is what you expect. The room is small, very small. I mean I imagined it was small like a cruise ship cabin, but in reality it is much smaller than that (and we had their bigger room)! It is very clean and the location is good and it is cheap. My complaints would be if they just put in...

We picked the easyHotel South Kensington for the proximity to the tube (10 min walk) and to the museums, and ease of getting to and from the airport (one tube line, 40 min). We went with the standard double-bed room with no window. It is definitely the smallest space you will ever find yourself in and the lack of natural...

Good quality for real. The hotel is in a very beautiful position, 5 min walk to Earl's Court metro station (zone 1). We were in a standard double room, with no window. The room was very small but very clean, the bathroom was maybe too big compared with the room, but it's fine. The only thing is that you don't...

Brilliant. Fantastic location - a quiet street in South Kensington, 6 mins walk from a Zone 1 tube. Spotlessly clean. Very well ventilated - the air always felt fresh, which was important to avoid issues of claustraphobia in the small room with no window we'd opted for. The smallness of the room really wasn't a problem - we knew what...

As mentioned, its small! There really isn't any spare floor space. Saying that, it's very clean, the bathroom too, and it has everything you could need. Didn't interact much with staff but whenever we did found them very friendly. Great location, very near the Victoria and Albert Museum. Recommend it for a short stay but think too small for any...

Yes - you get what you pay for, but it's fine. We stayed 5 nights and actually grew to enjoy what we eventually called "the nest". ROOM: Literally as small as you've been warned. But we found the sheets clean, the bathroom clean and the amount of space we needed to at least place our bags on the floor was...

After being tired of looking at affordable places to stay in this area of London, we finally discovered the Easyhotel recommended by a friend who lived in London. Great place to stay, room is extremely small but only what you need, a place to shower and sleep, strongly recommend it.

I'm afraid I can't recommend. We booked 2 nights here but only stayed 1. We thought we would "economise" but this was going a bit far. The room was a "standard" room, which is apparently the largest! It was tiny, no room to swing a cat and too small for 2 people (to attempt) to share. The bed was uncomfortable...

I have travelled to London alone and on a very low budget quite a bit over the last few decades and have slept in some amazingly lousy hotels over the years. You know, flowery carpet that squishes under your feet, 4 kinds of hair in the shower, staff that barks at you... And after my last experience in 2004 (Free...

This was my first time in London. I had friends staying close in South Kensington so they recommended this place to me. (I'm a student and on a budget). It was pretty cheap (for London), but, of course, there is a reason for it. When we checked in the lady told us, "It's worse than you think." (haha). I think...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
