Visiting as a married couple celebrating our Ruby Wedding Anniversary, when we arrived, we informed the receptionists of this and they freely upgraded our superior room to a HOUSE/SUITE. We were given number 25 Mecklenburg, suite 511, and it was lovely. Views through 3 lovely, well maintained and nipping clean room length sash windows onto a park with tennis courts....

Quiet setting - centrally located vs Russell Square and Kimg's Cross subway stations. Good staff. Breakfast recommended. Funny setting as it seems to be part of a university. So breakfast and dinner between university staff and students. Would advise to stay here.

There is always a good reason to come back to the Goodenough Club; this time we wanted to celebrate my wife Anna's birthday and spend some time with our son Fabio who has been a resident in this College for some years now. After an initial misunderstanding on the type of room we have booked on line, the issue was...

In-between the Kings Cross and Russell Square stations on the Piccadilly Line and on a quiet street with what seems like a bunch of college dormitories is this quaint hotel. The neighborhood gets real quiet after dark, but I always felt safe walking back to the hotel during the three nights there. I think this actually used to be a...

Pleasant and quiet location. We had a room overlooking a square. Very comfortable bed. Very good continental breakfast with large choice of food. A lift would have been useful as we were on the third floor.

I enjoyed the use of very clean shower facilities (and even a bathtub for my aching legs). The building was very quiet during my stay with few others on the hall. There was a heatwave on, which made the upper floor room unbearably hot. At first my request for a fan was refused. It took a full day to accomplish...

We live in London, and one of us works near Mecklenburgh Square, but we had never heard of this place until we were given a weekend "hall pass" by the in-laws. The room was small, but comfortable with all amenities. The price is extraordinary for a London hotel of this quality. The only minor quibble is that the room had...

The room was fine and the staff friendly but it was by no means is it luxury. The room was small, bed rather hard and the floor had not quite been hoovered properly, but we got new towels in the morning and there is everything you need (hair dyer, tea/coffee etc); it is fine for just somewhere to sleep but...

Dear aliorr4, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us, I am very sorry to hear that you where not overly impressed with you experience. This is always disappointing to read, I am currently looking to the cleaning standards with the accommodation manager as substandard cleaning is not accepted from our long standing staff. We...

My wife and I stayed here last year as we are in London on a weekly basis and about twice a month need to book a hotel. We needed a room for three nights. Year in year the price per night had skyrocketed. Never mind we knew that the lodging was to a very good standard, or so we thought....

Dear Tamarack1965, Thank you for taking the time to review your most recent stay at Goodenough Club, I am very sorry to hear that on this occasion our usually high standards where not adhered to. I have read through your review and admittedly we had a problem with the water pressure during your stay, we have a preventative maintenance schedule...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
