The room was very basic, which is fine, and what we would expect given the price. However, the room was also very dirty. The floors definitely have not been swept or mopped for a while, dust and hair all around. The bottom of the shower was rotting away, and the walls were all marked and scuffed. I asked if the...

Better than my expectation half full of builders and middle eastern and European tourists. My room was by fire doors to staircase and was woken up early. Well run hotel and I ended up with a good deal through a site. Breakfast buffet mainly toast and cereals. Overall top of budget expectations.

Just check out after two awful nights there. Came to the city for business and never expected to get such a poor place. Single Rooms are extremely small, very old, so not comfortable, and heavily smells from cigarettes. I really suffered... and by the way the WiFi barely works..

Cheap hotel close to finsbury park tube station. Staff not really friendly. Rooms are small. toilets don't have doors. my window was broken. In the night you can hear everything happen outside the room. Not the best choice

Somewhat depressing hotel. Pleasant staff on reception but the bedroom was not inviting. There was just one centre light, the desk with hairdryer was in a corner with no lighting at all. Worst part about the room was that even in December, and with the radiators turned off, the room was very hot. Open the window and you get traffic...

I booked a late room at the Pembury Hotel. Overall the place was nice, staff nice but do be careful as the bathroom was a little small but clean and good. The room was clean as mentioned the bathroom was a little small. I'm not huge but a bigger person may have had some issues. However the place itself was...

This hotel is basic but you have everything you need. Clean room, Comfy bed, shower and breakfast included and all staff we encountered were friendly. Only down point was the walls were extremely thumping and you could clearly hear people in corridor but we were so tired it didn't really bother us. We stayed after seeing a concert at Alexandra...

This is a very simple hotel, breakfast is basic, fixtures and fittings are very old and the heating was constantly on maximum, which made it very warm. This all wouldn't bother me too much but it's £80 p/night for a single room and £120 p/night for a double, which is just far too expensive for near hostel standards.

Having read other reviews I was a bit worried but the Pembury was a pleasant surprise. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, the room was basic but spotlessly clean, the bathroom was tiny but perfectly serviceable and the toiletries were excellent. There were lots of clean fluffy white towels and plenty of tea and coffee in the room....

Definitely would not recommend! DO NOT BOOK HERE...! Came here after a friend booked it for one night after a concert. Arrived around 14:30ish to good service, checked into our rooms which looked clean but very plain. The aroma that lingered in our room was just about bearable and as we looked around, we saw that the dressing table was...
