Fine hotel due its location, and good sized rooms for central London. Hotel has great bar and good room service, although my room had no mini bar even though that was stated as on of the facilities available. The only drawback is its not cool or fresh like the new hotels in Soho such as Ham Yard. But this is...

Stayed here while on a weekend trip to London. Rooms were ideal, roomy and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful at reception and bar staff were pleasant. Ideal location for all of the things we had planned to do. Underground close by and plenty of cafes and bars within easy reach, shopping also easily accessible. A very pleasant stay and...

When we arrived, we were extremely happy that we had been upgraded. The location of this hotel is fantastic but that's about it! The room itself was large, however the carpet looked old and dirty, which I did not expect. However, Free tea and coffee was a lovely touch. We paid £40 extra to check out at 4pm. However no...

Dear Paola3616, Thank you for your comments. The Sky bar is open 5 days a week from 3pm till 10.30pm in the winter time, however we have the right to close this if the wind is strong or if it is raining to much for it to be enjoyable for people to sit. We as Hotel have H&S regulations we...

A gorgeous hotel with what might be the best customer service in all of London. We were treated extremely well, the room was beautiful, and it's a great location too. Just be careful to not confuse this location with the other property. Highly recommended!

Lovely and quiet considering the central location with a good menu that matches the big chains or have a drink and nibbles in one of the old cells. Service is very friendly but very slow. Great pre Palladium location for food and drinks

Very nice room and interesting hotel given the history, spoiled unfortunately by this morning's breakfast debacle. We had to wait for a table (which is acceptable at peak times) and were seated after about a ten minute wait, not a problem. My husband went to get some cereal while I waited at the table to give the waitress our tea...

Dear Lynne R, Thank you for writing about your experience at the Courthouse hotel. Please allow me to apologise for the breakfast experience you had with us yesterday and I have already asked the Restaurant Manager to look into this as we did indeed receive more comments. This is obviously not the way we want to profile ourselves and we...

Love the location, just opposite one of my favourite streets in London, Carnaby Street. Extra special during the holiday , Christmas season. The history of the building is fascinating. I love certain features of the hotel which has been inherited from its history as a courthouse. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable .

The reception staff were very helpful allowing us to check in early and upgrading our room. The room was very clean , comfortable and very well appointed. We had a champagne tea in the afternoon which both myself and my friend thoroughly enjoyed. On the downside the shower was hard to use and the breakfast tea and coffee was disappointing,...

Dear Familiesandfun, Thank you for your comments. A bed so big you get lost in it, that's sometimes all people want, relax and get lost and don't worry about waking up early! This week and next we are focussing on cleaning all carpets in the hotel. All the best,

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
