Although our room was clean and good for the price, the rooms lacked overall personality/warmth, there was no aircon so got very stuffy at times felt claustrophobic, the staff though were great and helpful

3 night stay - no major issues. Thought it might be noisy being next to station but our room was quiet - 318 opposite side to station. Be careful in shower as no bath mats so - very slippery. Fan in bathroom wasn't working. All else excellent.

A modern, standard Travelodge immediately adjacent to both Underground and Overground stations, only 20 mins tube ride from central London. Ample coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Reception staff most welcoming and room spotless. Room had window that can't be opened "for your safety" - I'd prefer to be able to regulate fresh air myself, even if the windows only opened...

Great location, less than a minutes walk to train (underground & overground). Room had everything that was needed, including kettle and tea/coffee. Some train noise but nothing unbearable - and worth it for the convenience. Shower pressure not great. Bed comfortable.

I booked the hotel for my sister and husband who live in France. They stayed a full week and got a room on top floor. Spacious, clean, functional with the bonus of a great view and friendly staff, their expectations were more than met. They thought the hotel represented great value (and that was before GBP dropped by 20%!). So...

We were pleasantly surprised by the quietness of the room despite the hotel being in a busy part of London and next to a railway line. We almost didn't hear the trains - they were certainly not loud enough to waken us. The room was clean and well presented and good value for money (£42 for the two of us)....

balsam is on the Northern Line, or a train route to Victoria and it is an excellent place for eating and enjoying pubs. Although it is not right in the heart of London it is a 20 minute tube ride. And the Travelodge is 30 seconds from train and tube stations, a minute form great places for breakfast, a choice...

We stayed here recently for three nights and could not fault the place. Extremely clean with friendly reception staff who were also very helpful - would definitely go back. Very good location and reasonably priced.
