The cleaning of the room was not what you'd expect. We didn't get a new handsoap when the one we had was used up. The air quality inside was warm and moist. It was necessary to ventilate all night through.
The hotel is in an excellent location right in the heart of London’s Covent Garden district & a stones throw from all major tourist sights & attractions. The hotel itself is small and very basic but clean. There is significant noise till late in the...More
Great location and friendly but room allocated in ground floor - dirty, very old and not updated since 1980’s - old mfi furniture, old cracked cheap flooring, old tiles and 1980’s bathroom. Window has aircon other pipes and equipment cluttered up outside the window -...More
We were three women sharing a room (#10) for 5 nights in London. The room was spacious enough for the three of us to move around and get ready for outings. The beds are comfortable, the hotel is clean and the hospitality is wonderful. Seven...More
We now always stay here when in the capital as it is so convenient for the West End and to the tubes for access to all the sights. As usual a warm welcome and a comfortable stay. Hope the prices don't rocket when the extensions...More

Whether you're headed here to check out the multitude of shops, theaters, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, or simply to be among the multitude of people who pass through this pretty part of town, you'll love soaking up the festive and historic atmosphere in and around Covent Garden. Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated
by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.

Yes it is in walking distance, especially if you have luggage with wheels. Come out of Covent Garden Tube station and cross the road, head right into Neale St. Cross over Sheldon St and Short Gardens. Turn left at the junction of Shaftsbury avenue almost doubling back on yourself and the hotel is about 30 yards down on the left side.
Alternatively you can use Google maps which will print out the journey for you and the distance. If you feel really lazy you can take a taxi, but they will charge loads. Hope this helps and hope you're not on the 4th floor with that luggage. Enjoy London.
