Very nice staff, great location in the centre just next to a tube station and a lovely Borrow market. Generally much cleaner than most shares I stayed at but very crowded and noisy. Luckily we were on the second floor so no noise from bellow - the bar (as many others complained) - but it's a share - you will...

We can here for some company drinks. 3 of us arrived to meet 13 others. The doorman refused entry as it was a "student night" although the other 13 are 25+... Denied entry and then had the doorman face to face "don't talk rude to me"... never again wouldn't recommend to anyone to be honest

If you are looking for a hostel, it is noisy with pub downstairs. The bed and common area not so spacious. Toilet cleanliness is acceptable. Friendly staffs and strategic location, with very nearby underground. I guess if you love a lovely pub, you will like here.

Best Irish Pub in London!! Lovely staff, visit it regularly. Cheap drinks and some bar food available (hot and cold). Good place that stays open late in Central London, as a lot close early ish. Music is good and pool is available to play!!

Five of us booked and paid for a 6 bed dorm to avoid disturbing any strangers. This worked very well and still worked out very cheap. The room we were in consisted of 3 bunk beds and although basic, was clean. The toilets and showers were down the corridor and whilst not the greatest, were still clean. The staff were...

Near the Borough underground station and 10mins from London Bridge. Confortable and good pub. It just has got common rooms, not individual. 24h attention and very nice stuff. Not the best shower and toilets, but good enough to the young traveler.

I chose this hostel on my first trip to London because it was cheap, in the center of London, and a 30-second walk from a tube station. It's not a bad hostel, but not as good as other ones I've stayed at. Some of the bathroom lights don't work, there aren't enough outlets in the rooms, and the beds felt...

I've choosen this hostel because of the low price. It has a very good position, close to the tower bridge and to the subway. It Is a very nice strutture with nice personal, but it Is not very clean. The bathroom was Always dirty, as the rooms. Breakfast included was a good thing.

Good location with walking distance after getting off the tube at Borough station. However, the neighbourhood doesn't seem to be that good, it's quiet and cold on the street, and no people at all. Nice reception, clean and handy kitchen stuff, you've got microbe, kettles, tea pots and so on. Yet the smell goes to the rooms on the same...

The hostel pub closes at 2am so there is a lot of noise when you go to sleep. Drunk guests all the time. There is just one shower and two toilets per floor (always busy and dirty). Poor breakfast, and horrible coffee, just toasts and cereals. No security at all, the front door is usually opened and the room lock...

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
