We stayed here in April for 2 days as we were seeing an event at the O2. The location for this was great, the O2 is close and is only a few minutes away on the tube. It's also within a few minutes walking distance of two tube stations and the Cutty Sark, along with the big Greenwich park next...

Dear SqueakyBeans, Thank you very much for your feedback. We will be looking into your feedback about the rooms and what we can do on site to ensure we are improving the highlighted shortfalls. Being a Grade1 listed building has it's challenges as to what we are able to do compared to purpose build hotels. Kind regards, Tim Gehrke

The wedding of our eldest daughter was a huge deal for our family and the people who travelled from all over the world for the event. I am used to being disappointed by poor service, quality and pricing in hotels and restaurants, particularly in the UK. I was aware that the Devonport is part of a chain and was prepared...

As I was travelling with a disabled person, it was important I could park on site and take a wheelchair all the way to our room. No problem. The beds were really comfortable, though there was only one pillow each. The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful in finding us a taxi that would take the chair to the O2...

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times on business and it has always been excellent. The rooms are always tidy and clean and the food in the restaurant is excellent - for lunch and breakfast. It is also in a lovely location opposite the old Naval college and just down the hill from the observatory.

This hotel is a gem. Set right I'm the heart of Greenwich. My partner and I were attending a wedding at The Queens House which suited us brilliantly, as the hotel is virtually next door. Room was lovely, clean and bright. However, the hotel is expensive. We actually paid over £100 more than others staying on the hotel even though...

Dear Jodie A, Thank yu very much for your kind review of Devonport House. I am delighted you had an overall good time. Sadly we can not ensure every guest attending a party knows his limits and I understand that experience does not set a great impression. With a lot of different means to book our venue, it can happen...

My husband and I booked a weekend break at Devonport House for our wedding anniversary. We arrived early on the Friday morning and were able to book our car into the hotel carpark before going off to explore London for the rest of the day. The hotel is located in a beautiful location within easy reach of all local sights...

The hotel looks beautiful and is so well placed to explore the lovely area of Greenwich. The Observatory, Park, Cutty Sark and Maritime museum are all very handy. Good to travel to Central London on the Thames. It did seem very much a business hotel. There was little personalisation at Reception and no interest in whether the stay had been...

Attended my brother & now sister-in-law 's wedding on the 16th May and then stayed overnight. The wedding was absolutely amazing. The venue, food, drink & staff were all great and the ensuite bedroom was very clean and comfortable. Hardly any noise heard from outside the hotel, other than birdsong. Difficult to believe that we were in the centre of Greenwich....

I got lost driving in and found myself parked beside the Cutty Sark. A quick call and I was talked in to the hotel car park, all of 3 minutes away. That was just the start of an excellent experience! Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
