I stayed at this hotel, with my wife and 2 teenage children, for 8 days.I have to say it was one of the worst represented hotels i ever stayed in. The room was pictures so much larger then was,no big deal. But the room i reserved and expected was far worse then i recieved.I reserved a room with 2 queen beds and a... More

Two bedrooms were small yet functional. Typical small european sized rooms. Seperate living area was very small, to small for 4 people to sit comfortably. Kitchen facilities were basic but functional. Locations was very good, close to Bayswater tube station, queensway tube also close by. Hyde park within walking distance, easy walk to buckingham palace, Harrods. Ok as basic accommodation... More

Stayed in the triplestudio suite w/ 2 of my friends. We really had no complaints about our stay. Our room was very spacious & clean. The hotel is close to 2 main underground stations, which made it easy to get around London. There are plenty of restaurants close by as well. I would definately stay here again.

My partner and I took our friends who had come to visit from America. We were allocated a ground floor room, the corridors leading up to the room had ripped carpet all the way through, gaps in the carpet where it had worn away and the smell of dirt and damp was extremely recognisable. The 2 bedroom apartment was disgusting... More

We received a helpful and friendly welcome, when checking in. All social, bathroom, and bedroom areas were very clean. Complimentary tea/coffee, and toiletries.( which isn't always offered in apartments). Preferential to a hotel stop-over. We booked the quadruple room even though a 'couple', for the money, the extra space was great value Recommended.

Myself and a friend stayed here January 2011 for 3 nights. Not knowing London very well this place was fantastic for location. There are 2 tube stations nr by (Bayswater+Queensway) giving fantastic quick transport to London centre and all museums and attractions. The Apartment we stayed in was a Studio. It was exactly as was in the picture with also... More

I stayed in these apartments for 4 nights with my two teenaged children and was very happy overall. A slight hiccup on arrival when they put us in the wrong room was rapidly sorted out and we were moved to the correct room within minutes. We slept well and the one bedroom, one bathroom apartment was more than adequate for... More

This hotel has too much hype! It does not deserve the title as "Best Serviced Apartment in 2009" because it did not live up to the expectations, that is supposedly equivalent to 4 star service hotels. I had a very bad experience staying in this service apartment for 10days. I felt cheated and I still am bitter now. I can't... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Grand Plaza apartments give you the independence and catering flexibility of your own home together with the comfort and service of a 4* hotel. Think of us as your home, but with cleaning, catering, porters and reception staff thrown in. Serviced apartments are the new direction for the hotel industry. They provide a ready made home rather than a ready made room. Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen. You choose whether to enjoy your own home cooking or try the Grand Plaza Breakfast or visit one of the myriad of restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel (or heat up a takeaway!) Grand Plaza is the largest Hotel/Apartment complex in Bayswater. We won the 2009 award for best serviced apartments in London as a result of votes from the readers of Business Destinations Magazine. We accommodate more people each day (tourist, leisure, romantic and business) than any other Serviced Apartment Hotel in the area.We are located in the centre of the West End overlooking the precise type of garden square which Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts climbed into in the Golden Globe nominated film, Notting Hill! We look forward to providing you with a home in central London. ... more   less
