Booking in London is a bit like roulette. You know you're going to pay out but what will you get from your time at the table? First time staying at the Chamberlain Hotel. I would go back again in a flash. The rooms are on the small side but modern and well furnished with flat screen tv and a gorgeous...

Dear 556aprilr, you have covered 2 of my favourite points within this review. Whilst it is always lovely to hear that the team were welcoming it all boils down to either a recommendation or a return visit, and you have gone on to both recommend us and state that you would stay again. Thank you so much for these kind...

We spent four nights at the Chamberlain and loved it. It looks to be a traditional hotel and pub but the rooms have been entirely redone and are completely modern and comfortable. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Location can't be beat. Good value.

Dear Isvotaw, this has been a delight to read - thank you. The longer a guest stay the bigger the challenge to ensure that they have a faultless stay with each night being more enjoyable then the last. It is therefore lovely to see that your 4 night visit was well received and resulted in this great 5* review. I...

after a fire at Euston causing the station to be closed and all trains cancelled I asked my work's travel agent to see if a room was available at the Chamberlain. The location is near my work and I have stayed before and the service and rooms are both fantastic.

Dear helsebels, what a nightmare the travel was on this evening, the fire at Euston caused chaos. In these situations there is nothing worse then being forced into over night accommodation and finding it to be sub standard. Therefore I am delighted to hear that what started off as a major inconvenience ended up being an enjoyable visit, all be...

Stayed here one night while on business in London. The check in process was efficient but hugely friendly and informative. The room itself was not huge but it was very prettily decorated in a country kind of theme - duck egg blue panelling, great quirky iights and artworks. The bathroom had no bath but a large shower enough for a...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
