I have recently spent 2 nights at this hotel. After reading the reviews I requested an annexe as this suggested a quieter spot away from the main Euston Road. This was a few doors down from the main hotel and at first I felt a bit isolated but was reassured by Reception that it would be fine and they had...

I would absolutely advise against booking this hotel. Was like a scene from a bad movie with associated odours and manners from front desk staff. I asked for a refund and was offered another room as a replacement, which I couldn't respond quick enough with a big fat NO! I couldn't leave quick enough after being there a full 10...

This is one of the worst hotels in London I have stayed at. Receptionist was bordering on rude when we arrived, not a good start. Travel lodge is luxurious compared to this. Our room had broken tatty furniture with cigarette burns all over. The tiny bathroom had broken tiles throughout, no plug in sink and you had to be a...

Room ok for a single, very small. Good location for Kings Cross And St Pancras stations, buses, shops, cafes and restaurants. Quick check in. Quiet location. Cannot tell you much else as arrived late and left early next morning.

Excellent place for ove stay if you only want somewhere to sleep as a stop over to rail stations ! Room in annex was tiny with bathroom/cupboard not enough room to even dry yourself after showering ! Breakfast was disgusting ... mc Donald's over the road was the answer !

This is one of the most convenient hotels I had stayed in London, location is perfect, rooms are small, wifi is not bad at all and breakfast is modest but tasty. For a day or two I would reccomend for sure.

I booked the hotel room because I needed to catch an early Eurostar train and there was supposed to be a Tube strike, which in the event was cancelled. The reception member of staff offered me an upgrade to a double room on arrival. The room was clean, large, and did the job. Solid night sleep. The key thing is...

I have stayed at the Carlton for over 2 years now it's excellent value for money, the only thing is now the price is a little lower because they have gone fully Continental Breakfast, but loads of cerial, toast, croissants, Cheese, and boiled eggs, Tea & coffee, plus it's just across the road from King Cross Station and Underground.

The price and location makes this a good place to stay for a solo traveler! You are next to St Pancras and a decent curry shop. WiFi is on every floor, but the signal is sometimes better in the lobby. Generally clean and warm. Breakfast is weak, but completely in line with that price point. Very nice staff at front...

Originally booked the European Hotel but received an email saying it was closed for Christmas for refurbishment so we had been transferred to their sister Carlton Hotel for the same price but with continental breakfast instead of English. We also ended up with 2 separate rooms instead of the family room booked. Our rooms were on the second floor and...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
