This was perfect for our first stay in London. Close to the tube, nearby restaurants and pubs. A grocery store to pick up water etc. Very helpful staff, overall a great place. Shower is a little on the small side, no road noise, clean, tv worked. A good place to lay your head and sleep after a long day.

Booked this hotel to the fact its very central to the Kings cross station with better prices than most of others situated in the same area. THe rooms are bit small, but being in London means to travel and look at places not in the room. Service was nice and very helpful too especially when we had problems with the...

Do not book!!!! Beware!!!! After entering the room, I was suddenly becoming itchy, the carpets were unclean, the bed had urine stains, the mattress had at least 20 years old and very uncomfortable, the shower was cold in the morning, the telephone to reception was not working (neither the wall mounted phone nor the handheld the leave at the room),...

Small but well-appointed room with double bed. My only criticism is that the reading light was situated on the wall halfway along the side of the bed, so that a dedicated night reader like me had to sit sideways on the bed leaning on the wall to read. They probably had had two singles in there previously, with the light...

The location became insignificant when we entered the room, thank goodness it was for just 1 night. all aspects needed a good clean and by now should anyone have tried to close the curtains as I did they will have virtually shredded away .The stay deteriorated the continental breakfast was not available although I asked for containers to be filled...

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Small, cramped room with tired furniture, uncomfortable beds and pillows hard as stone. Everything feels dirty. Walls made of cardboard, you can hear every step above, flushing toilet and conversations of your neighbours. Unfriendly staff and a scary breakfast lady in a dark, crowded basement space supposed to be breakfast room serving...

First time stayed here, chosen because it's a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross Station. Check in 2pm but got there 11am and was able to leave luggage. Staff very helpful with directions. Walked into town, went to Show, had meal, taxi back, checked in 7pm. room was basic but had everything I needed. Comfy bed so slept well. Continental...

We needed somewhere local to Kings Cross station so I chose this hotel as it was a good location. However, the room was tiny, there was no shelf space for storing bathroom essentials so everything had to go in the wardrobe. I tried to refill a kettle but the sink wasn't big enough to fit the kettle so I thought...

Very close to King's Cross, St Pancras and Euston, this hotel is very convenient for Sadler's Wells, British Library, British Museum and a good location for walking around Camden etc. Clean room, a bit dark thanks to some light bulbs not working, and very noisy by the road, but comfortable nevertheless. Wifi is rather dodgy and breakfast monotonous and relatively...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
