On the last weekend I and my family visited London, once again. As usual we were installed in the Monopole Hotel. This bed and breakfast has a good location in a quiet place with a good price for the London standarts.Yes, the rooms are small, especially bathrooms, the breakfast isn´t a real "full english breakfast", but for the price and...

... but small rooms, especially bathrooms. No soaps, no shampoos etc. No glasses, no plates in the room. Wifi is well and free. Also tv - free of charge. Hotel serve "typical English breakfast": toasts, 2 eggs and piece of bacon. But it's a good price for a room. Towels are change every day, also room was vacuum every day...

We loved here very much, the place was clean and the breakfast was always freshy done and we where always asked if we wanted more. Beds were always done everyday, showers were cleaned every day and noise was minimum. For the problem in the shower floor we just asked for more towels which where glady given and we just used...

Here are the plusses: close to Paddington Station, friendly staff, our belongings were safe, okay breakfasts, low price. Negatives: bad beds. bad pillows, no shower door so the floor gets wet, no washcloths, no soap or toiletries, internet would only work in the stairway. A lot of restaurants in the area cater to the Hookah smoking crowd.Worn out and tired looking...

Spent 2 nights here and was just what I wanted, Great location (5mins walk from tube) with good range of places to eat nearby. Hotel was clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and good showers. Breakfast was good (eggs, bacon, tea and toast) and was just enough to set you up for the day. Perhaps the best part were the...

The hotel met and exceeded my expectations. Wireless internet performed flawlessly, beds were clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean, towels were big and water was hot. Staff was very friendly. The bathroom is a little odd with no shower curtain, but it is completely tiled. We asked for an extra towel to put on the floor after our shower and...

This is our "family"hotel- we stayed here every year during the last 10 years. We tried different hotels but always were returning to this one. This is not the cheapest hotel in the area but the rooms are always clean and the breakfast is made by the style we like. The owner and his assistant are always friendly, are always willing to...

If you are looking for a inexpensive place to have a roof over your head, then the Monopole Hotel in England is your place. Located just a few minutes walking distance from a main railroad station, it's easy to get to but hard to forget. After arriving at the hotel we noticed our room had a very strong odor. The...

I stayed here July 2006 after the reviews I read here and I wasn't disappointed. This is a very inexpensive hotel with great value. 60 pounds for myself and two kids. We had three beds, shower, etc. The breakfast was not the best, but decent considering the price. I had to stay at another hotel 4 or 5 doors away...

My family, firends and I have stayed at The Monopole several times. The location is perfect and the owner and staff are very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are small, but everything is functioning perfect. And - important to me - You don't spent all Your money on sleeping!

Monopole Hotel is centrally located but distant enough to provide tranquil nights in the 24 hour city.
