My daughter and I have visit Gerorg hotel 3 times. We love to stay there. You got a lot for your money. Good breakfast, nice staff, a warm and cosy room, and a fantastick lokation. Close to Kings Cross and Russel Square and buses are near by. We are asking for the same room every time, and we will do...

All the staff members were very friendly from arrival to departure. Our room was quite big sized for London standards and seemed to be newly decorated. It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Convenient 2-5 min walk to 3 tube stations (Russell Square, Euston and King's Cross), 20 min walk to Covent Garden & theatre district. I would highly...

The hotel is very close to the city center, with the bus stop just 50m away (that takes you directly to a lot of main areas), as well as very close to Euston station and Kings Cross. Our room (n. 12) was VERY spacious, has a double bed and a single bed! For London standards it was VERY big, the...

The George is still good value for money considering the exorbitant prices of London's accommodation. This was my 2nd time back to The George and I still found the place to be simple and clean. While I found my street-facing room to be a little noisy, it did not really bother me too much. However, it could be an issue...

Some positives and negatives: # Very noisy in the day, lost of comings and goings, - quietens down around 10:30pm when the reception closes. # Rooms were VERY small and the bathroom/toilet even smaller - we had a pregnant lady in our group who found it near impossible to do anything. # Communal toilet on the landing didn't have a...

I attended a business conference and found this hotel to be a great location only a few minutes from Kings Cross tube station. It was itself an intimate and friendly hotel that I would stay in again.

We have now stayed at this hotel 3 times, and are planning a 4th in 2011. For us it represents good value, friendly and helpful staff (received an unrequested upgrade to larger front room due to weeks' stay last visit), with genuine British breakfasts- busy, probably because others find the hotel good value too. Location near train stations good for...

My daughter and I normally stay at the Georges sister hotel, The Parkwood, Marble Arch, but as it was booked out they recommended this one to us. I would call this more a hostel, than hotel! Very cramped rooms, share bathrooms between floors, so you always had to climb or descend stairs and then if it was occupied, go all...

This is a decent budget hostel - which is hard to find in over priced London. The room we had came with a sink, double bed, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities and a wardrobe. We had shared shower and toilet which was fine - nice and hot shower and we never crossed paths with anyone else so privacy...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
