small but clean rooms, clean showers and rooms, friendly staff, very helpful with any kinds of questions, easy walking distance to the BL, breakfast "all you can eat", wireless in the rooms, good TV reception, quiet area and safe at night (also for women travelling alone), I stayed for 10 days and was always happy to return "home" in the...

We are very sorry that this guest was unhappy with his stay but his problem stemmed mainly from the that fact that one of the ladies sharing his room was an invalid and had a problem with stairs and his demand for a full refund at check-out wasn't accepted. The first page of our website clearly states that we don't...

The George Hotel was acceptable mainly because of it's walking distance to the tube. The breakfast which was included was decent also but we stayed in the basement room (triple) & I wasn't crazy about that. People walking down the street were practically in our room.

I just returned to the States after staying at the George for a total of three days. Because of the friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent complimentary breakfasts, not to mention the excellent location that enabled me to walk just about everywhere I wanted in central London, those three days were some of the best in my life.

I stayed in...

My wife and I stayed at a hotel nearby the George several years ago. We loved the Bloomsbury location and I was hoping to stay at the same place this time. As it was booked up I stayed at the George and was very happy. The staff was excellent and the service and accommodations were very good as well. The...

When you read this review, keep in context that I paid only 45 pounds per night. - Room: - Small, but adequate for my needs - Main lightbulb had a broken mechanism and didn't work, but there were two others that provided plenty of light. - Electrical sockets were easily accessible. - Safe with an electronic combination (great!) - Sink...

All the staff members were very friendly from arrival to departure. Our room was quite big sized for London standards and seemed to be newly decorated. It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Convenient 2-5 min walk to 3 tube stations (Russell Square, Euston and King's Cross), 20 min walk to Covent Garden & theatre district. I would highly...

The hotel is very close to the city center, with the bus stop just 50m away (that takes you directly to a lot of main areas), as well as very close to Euston station and Kings Cross. Our room (n. 12) was VERY spacious, has a double bed and a single bed! For London standards it was VERY big, the...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
