My boyfriend and I booked a stay at the Wellington for a night through Secret Escapes for £79 which included a continental breakfast - we thought this was such a good deal! On arrival, it was evident that all COVID precautions were being taken to reduce risk including paperwork being completed by all other guests, hand sanitiser and temperature's taken. Our room was clean to a high standard with each room marked as 'clean' with a blue seal on the door which was really reassuring.
A few days before our trip, we actually saw on the website that the hotel were offering their own deal on rooms which included a cooked breakfast and a room upgrade so I contacted the hotel to see if they would still honour any part of this deal despite us booking via secret escapes and they were extremely helpful and happy for us to have a cooked breakfast delivered to our room. Upon checking in, they asked to take our breakfast order then so that it could be prepared and delivered the next morning at a time that suited us. They also stated that if for any reason there was any issue with the room, they would look into an upgrade for us. But this was not necessary because the room was beautifully presented and equipped with everything we needed. The bathroom had lovely toiletries and a powerful rainforest shower and bath. The breakfast was a little bit cold by the time it got to our room but we did choose to have it delivered at the latest time possible and so this may explain why. It did however have everything we wanted including fresh fruit, juice and hot drinks. There is also a fairly private little garden at the front with seating and umbrellas so you can enjoy a cup of tea outside. The staff were all so friendly and made our stay really enjoyable. We would absolutely come back for another stay! Thank you for having us.

This was one of the better hotels that I’ve stayed in central London but could and should have been better.

I would recommend it, they need to sort minor issues out.

The location is very good, close to Victoria but still in a quiet area.

The staff were overall friendly and engaging.

The food was very good, breakfast was limited and the morning staff were a bit “grumpy “. First morning I wasn’t offered coffee or toast nor did they except lain the set up, but I managed to find the coffee.

Lunch was good and dinner was excellent, really enjoyable.

The room was a good size, apparently adopted for wheelchair users, good luck as it was a shower over bath and the work station was tight - hardly wheelchair friendly. But the room was freezing, especially during a February cold snap. I went outside in the cold to warm up at one stage. Turned out the old sash windows were single glazed and the heating was centrally controlled so was in cold air con, my room eventually warmed up at 2am! And certainly never over heated.

The gym is small but well equipped, they have towels in the gym, it’s on the lower ground floor and you need your room key to access. Water station is outside the gym ( no music is played so bring your own headphones)

I would go back and would recommend but it has the potential to be a brilliant hotel.

We took advantage of a 3 night stay booked via secret escapes. Our room was okay, large bathroom with shower over bath and wardrobe with safe and fridge (which unfortunately wasn’t working). The bed was very comfortable.
We upgraded to a full breakfast in the restaurant for an extra £3 per person per night and this was excellent, especially after the first day once our order was correct.
The location for us was great, within walking distance to tubes and buses but also central enough to walk to many tourist attractions too.
It’s clear that the hotel is following Covid safety rules and whilst there were a few little attentions to detail that would have improved our stay, we enjoyed a safe and peaceful trip away and would be happy to return.

First of all the hotel is in a great location behind the House of Fraser store. This is it's greatest asset.
However, general service issues started at check in with a demand for my passport number. I don't carry my passport. This seemed to cause issues for the receptionist, although she offered me an 'upgrade'. The alarm bells started to ring when we had a long walk to the end of the corridor room on floor 3, Room 305 turned out to be 'Room 101' - awkwardly designed and layout, dark with very little view.
When trying to locate the hairdryer, the vanity desk drawer was jammed shut so it had not been opened or sanitized.
I rang Reception. I did this by guessing the number as there is no information in the room for housekeeping or reception.
They offered to move me. The room on offer in Floor 2 was much larger on the second floor and closer to the lift.. (. so much for an upgrade)....
Beware the bathrooms, you have to step into the bath to reach the bath towels. The baths are also awkward to get out of because of the fixed shower screen.
The rooms do not offer an iron or ironing board, so you have to ring reception... (if you can find the number)....
With post lock down, the Hotel offered great value for money but there are some basic hospitality service issues that need to be addressed by someone who might be interested in the customer experience. On reflection, I would not stay for 5 nights again given these issues.
I'd like to say thanks to the young man who helped move my luggage and also worked in the bar. If he had also worked in the breakfast room that, might have also been a better service experience.

This was my first stay at this property which was booked by a work colleague and I was pleasantly surprised. Reception was welcoming and my request for an earky check in (for a small fee) was honoured as was my late check out (no fee).
The bedroom was an eccentric shape and was well equipped - although finding the room service menue was hard due toi it being in a drawer which was very stiff (and did not look like a drawer).
Nice bathroom with quality toiletries and really good shower. Good linen and towels but no bathrobe - although slippers were provided.
Very complicate blinds due to three windows! But good blackout was achieved, Good pillows and sleep quality but I had to urn off the very noisy heating.
Room service was quick and reasonably priced depsite a restricted menu.
Brealkfast was reasonable in chouce abd variety but arriving fairly late I suffered from congealed eggs and cold bacon. My fault as I'm sure if I had asked I would have ben rovided with a refill.

We were going to Boisdales in Belgravia and because of no night tubes at present we needed a hotel. This was a great find on Secret Escapes for £79 b&b.

The hotel is taking all possible precautions for COVID19, providing guests if they want with with hand sanitiser, hand wipes, gloves and masks.

All the staff we interacted with went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.

We had been forewarned that breakfast would be a continental grab and go style meal. However they surpassed themselves, it was delivered to our room, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, cereal, fruit, juices, toast and hot drinks.

The room was spotless, contemporary furnishings, I loved the curtains - wanted to take them home with me!! - I didn't! Equally lovely toiletries too and a very efficient shower.

Can't thank the staff enough for a great first stay in London since lockdown. They are trying their hardest to make it as pleasant as they can for you. Please support British tourism to get the hospitality trade back up and running.

I’d like to preface this review by saying I am very difficult to please when it comes to hospitality seeing that I work in hospitality. We stayed here for a weekend during lockdown and even though absolutely everything in London was closed we still had an incredible stay because the service at the hotel was outstanding. They offered a wide assortment of breakfast options, tended to each and every one of our requests (which were quite a few due to having to receive meals and parcels through Deliveroo and DPD), when we experienced issues with our room’s mini fridge we were upgraded to a bigger room for free in which the fridge worked perfectly.

They offered room service until late hours of the night, one night we called in to order food and the kitchen had closed so they didn’t have all of the menu items available and I was craving dessert along with my meal. Since they couldn’t offer me the dessert I wanted, they gave me a free assortment of biscuits and cookies to munch on at 1 AM.

Finally, I had a parcel from ASOS scheduled to be delivered during my stay but issues with the courier made that impossible. I had to change the date in which I was to receive my parcel but the courier would not allow me to change the location it was to be delivered. The hotel, in particular Dragi at the front desk, was considerate and gracious enough to receive my parcel days after I had left the hotel and my stay was over. I don’t think the staff at another hote would have been as accommodating.

They truly went above and beyond for us to enjoy our London stay during these difficult times. I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE under any circumstance. I can guarantee based on my experience alone, which exceeded every single one of my expectations, your stay will be enjoyable and you definitely get your money’s worth.

originally I booked the hotel for April this year on the non refund no changes cheaper deal. The hotel were kind enough to allow me to use the booking anytime within the next 12 months due to the lockdown restrictions so we booked for August. The staff were very friendly, polite and professional at all times. The room was comfortable and very clean with all you need (safe, fridge, tea/coffee, towels) we had a lovely time and would recommend this hotel. The breakfast restaurant was closed so breakfast was as room service and the scrambled egg was amazing, I never want to cook it again as it won't taste the same! The only down fall we found were the pillows were too hard for us but that is personal preference and nothing really to do with the hotel as such. Overall definitely a 5* rating from us.

The hotel was booked by my wife as part of my birthday celebration and it was mainly booked due to its great location. 10 min walk from Victoria,, 10 min walk to Westminster and 5 minutes from the Thames at Vauxhall Bridge.

We arrived early (circa midday) having travelled to London by train. The hotel is in the quiet Vincent Square.

We didn't expect our room to be ready (check in time is 3pm) but we received a warm welcome and the hotel took care of our cases while we went off to explore for the afternoon.

Got back to the hotel about 5pm to finalise check in and again nice welcome from the reception staff.

Got to our room on the second floor, and must admit to being a little bit disappointed at first. It was smaller than we hoped and had a tiny window which faced into what was probable a courtyard. This meant that the room. had little if any natural daylight.

That said, apart from getting ready to go out and sleeping, we weren't going to spend too much time in the room and we were only there for 2 nights (If we had been staying a week or more, I would have probably asked for a change of room to something with a view of the park opposite).

In contrast the room had a very generously sized bathroom with a great shower over the bath.

Room had air-con which worked perfectly and the bed was very comfortable.

We opted for the continental breakfast which was fine, if a bit limited in terms of choice.

Overall, we were happy with our stay and would probably use again. It was decent value compared with most London hotels at the moment

We spent 3 nights in December at this hotel. It is in a great location, the staff are friendly and helpful, printing off vouchers for us and finding me lemon and honey for my husband who was not feeling well whilst there. The Superior room we were in, although small was very comfortable, cosy, clean and the bathroom was immaculate with a great shower. We were overlooking the square and it was quiet so no disturbed nights sleep, even with the window open for fresh air.
