Really liked this hotel. I stayed there for one night due to a business trip and found it spot on. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. Really handy location from Victoria Station too. I would not hesitate to recommend the Blades Hotel for a low cost base to visit London. Facilities are reasonably basic but thats...

This hotel worked really well for me. I had meetings in Westminster and a restricted budget. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful - a surprise in London! The hotel is very convenient for the tube and is located in a fairly quiet area. It is also very clean - much more so than some big chain hotels I...

The Hotel was ok. There was one of the two receptionist who really was friendly and helped alot. The Room was rather small and cold. Also the Door wasn't in a good shape so the Isolation was a bit tricky. We we're a bit dissapointed. With the cleaning of our room came also a tidy up, something we didn't aprecciate.

We thank these guests for their review, but we don't fully understand it. It is normal practice for all hotels to clean and tidy all rooms each day, and this is a very important duty, and if they didn't want their room cleaned we would have been agreeable to their request. The door is fine and working as normal, and...

The Blades Hotel provided well kept, clean rooms. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was light but good. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and is not far from the tube. I look forward to staying with them again if/when I get back to London.

Plusses: 10 minute walk from Victoria Station, 2 minute walk to Pimlico tube station (with convenient food market on corner), good breakfast included, with ability to leave early breakfast outside your room, not airy or drafty or cold as some budget London hotels are, tidy room with comfortable bed and clean (small) private room. Fair price, good TV channel, adequate...

We thank this guest for taking the time to write his review. In accordance with British Tourist Board regulations and guide lines for a hotel of our standard, we change the towels every 3 days and bed linen every 5 days which is right and proper as we are all trying to be a bit “more green” to save the...

If you look for location but standard is not highest priority, Blades offers a good choice. We stayed in the family room with a small separate bathrom which is in the corridor. Cleaning and change of towels is not daily, but up to "standard regulations". Breakfast included but not the egg & bacon you wish as in the UK. Extra...

This is a very unfair review, we think the Lars family thought they were booking into a 4 or 5 stars hotel, 2 parents and 3 teenage children “all staying in the same room”! All our rooms are cleaned to a very high standard “each and every” day and some rooms need extra cleaning and tidying due to the type...

Rooms extremely small, beds small and uncomfortable, bathroom catastrophically small a unbelievably loud toilette-flush (you'll understand what this means at night...). Location on the other hand very convenient with walking distance to Westminster.

We are a “ Budget Hotel" as advertised, exactly as seen on our website which shows the room is not small. The beds are new and British Standard size (6ft 3” long and 4ft 6” wide-) and the single beds are 3ft wide and 6ft 3” long. The bathroom is generous in size for a “ Budget Hotel”. These guests...

Centrally placed and just a quick walk from Victoria Station, Blades is a good quality budget hotel. There's no lift or phone in the rooms, which are also on the small side, but are charming and clean. The staff are helpful and breakfast is correct for hotel category.

What made this hotel great was the staff! They went way beyond the call in giving us directions, advice, preparing a breakfast for us when we overslept, printing airline tickets for us... Always greeted us with a smile. Spent 12 days at the Blades. Reasonably priced, great, safe location ( we walked or took the Tube EVERYWHERE!), very nice breakfast...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
